Another useless fact PNE hold the record cup win of 26-0, though I somehow doubt there will be that many goals in our game. They are an awkward team to play against and are usually better away from home, than at home, so let’s hope that trend continues. Like us they are pretty inconsistent, so any score is possible, last season it was 1-1 I think, wouldn’t be at all surprised by the same outcome this season. CH will probably make one or two changes, though this could be Knockaert’s farewell performance, before the Stoke game I wasn't sure he’d be that much of a miss, but against Stoke he was comfortably MOM, whether he stays or not remains to be seen, though I don’t see us spending £5-6M to buy him. It would be great to see us continue in the same manner as v Stoke, though ideally not keep giving teams a head start. Grabban is still our focal point though atm doesn’t seem that interested, again maybe a move could be on the cards, but he would be difficult to replace, get him in the right frame of mind and he is as good as any striker in the Championship. We desperately need to stay out of the bottom three, as if we do find ourselves in there it may prove difficult to get out, personally I think we have enough to pull clear but it certainly isn’t a given. Let’s start the New Year with some real intent by putting in a decent performance and hopefully picking up a win. Happy New Year to all, and let’s hope next year proves to be at least more ‘normal’ than this.
At best I can see us drawing, so, I’m going for another 1-1 draw.
Another shocking first-half performance with another unforced error leading to an own goal, penalty etc...then a spirited second-half performance where we play attacking football and wish we weren’t so defensive.
Are repeats on iFollow? I can’t see myself getting up at 2am for this one.
Happy New Year from 2021!! 🤣
The. useless wool fondlers have managed to lose to the Wendies......
So who are the three worse teams than us?
I hope the fat greek holds his nerve.
A bit of added pressure as we now kick off in the relegation zone, with the Wendies beating the Sheep 1-0 we are now third bottom on goal difference, it’s so close that if the Wendies had gotten a 2 goal win the Sheep would have been 3rd bottom, had the Sheep equalised the Wendies would have remained in the bottom 3. One other thing to remember, Rotherham have 2 games in hand fortunately, one is against the sheep. It’s time to show what we are made of.
I think that we also need to say that draws are no good, there is nothing like dropping into the bottom three to bring home the reality of relegation.
Relegation zone on New Year’s Day too Promotion same season, has it ever been done before???
What a story it would be!
A new generation of miracle men!
Not totally sure where this sudden bout of optimism has come from, but no doubt it will have passed by 5pm tomorrow....
Wednesday have been dire, 6 points deducted. Having them above us is as clear a red flag could be.
Some green shoots recently, but we need a midfield captain and a consistent 7/10 winger/forward. If EM hasn’t spent all our Christmas card money of cheapo continental players, reliable quality in those two positions is crucial.
Bear, the three worse teams than you are Wycombe,Rotherham and one other. The choice of other could be us or Coventry.

Yes, and it’s almost written in the stars that Kyle Walker will have a say in our demise by scoring a goal that sees us drop into league one.

. . . Or Brum, or Luton, or the woolybacks. There are plenty of teams worse than us. The problem is we are a decent team playing poorly.
Same team today; I'm happy with that if they play as they did in second half at Stoke.

Np changes to the team, just McKenna returns to the bench.
Three points today will move us up three places; one point will move us up two. Couldn't ask for a bigger incentive

Bloody annoying.
It will be interesting to see what position Grabban takes when we are defending a corner
Good little attacking spell
Sounds like a bright start from Forest
