Goes to show talent isn’t everything. Until the players prove it on the pitch that is all they will be. Talent.
As for the fa cup final chelsea were 1 nil up until their goalscorer and captain got injured and had to go off.
It’s been a strange season.

this needs saying more, there are limits to this of course - eg if arteta had arsenal in 18th - but this season will be more of a slog, and see more freak results, than any we have ever seen, so not the best time to judge any manager.
ordinarily if you spend £200m+ to drop in the table that is a sackable offence, this season it may not be though.

Wasn't Azpi the captain? The bloke who gave away the penalty that made it 1-1 after about 20 minutes?
And pretty sure the goal scorer went off in the second half...
Even with Azpi and Pulisic, Arsenal were tearing us apart on the left hand side. Pulisic going off did end any chance of us scoring another goal though.

Arsenal fully deserved the win. Just saying we were compounded by bad luck and actually started well, wasn’t an arteta masterclass by any stretch
I don't think Lampard will be sacked any time soon, but the big money attacking signings that don't work well usually end in the manager being sacked within a season. There's still time for Havertz and Werner to turn it around, but Abramovich isn't the most patient of owners. Lampard being the person he is works in his favour though, don't think Abramovich would be as keen to get rid of a Chelsea legend.
It was too soon to judge 10 games ago and it’s still too soon now.
The league is tight and anything could happen.

Of course not, if you want the team to be successfu, you also need a coaching team and a head of coaching or manager, to give direction and guidance to the players to make them bond and be as a unit.
Frank is doing ok, just needs time to get more of the shape right and get the players to gel and pay as a unit.

Away with your sense and logic. This is 2021 and if results are not perfect every week then sack the manager.
I gave up on our match thread due to the wrist slitting because we don't win every game 6-0.
Also did I or did I not explain the rules of ja606 to you?
Somehow utd are second despite conceding 24 goals. There’s talk they are challenging for title. Everyone that’s not a utd fan knows this is BS. Similarly it’s best to judge teams end of season

Lampard has been Chelsea manager for 1 1/2 seasons and Arteta arsenal manager for 1 full season roughly
Why too soon to judge?
Dunno why people are talking about sacking Lampard or giving him time all I’ve done is compare Lampard to Arteta and ask who is better

Look at how United’s season has changed in 10 or so games... that’s why.
Let’s see what happens when we get to May, shall we?
But I want to compare them now.
Nothing wrong with speculating, but any conclusive judgements are misplaced imo.
Too many new players have been brought into the squad too soon. They take time to form an understanding, so results will be all over the place. Not really fattys fault as not sure how much say he has in transfers. Probably not alot, and once they're bought for big money he's under pressure to play them.
Personally, I dont see why you needed all of the attackers. Last season you seemed not to have much issue finding the net, and it was at the back you struggled.

Spot on mate
To me Lampard just seems very average. The FA Cup final is a good example the naivety in the tactics employed by Lampard was embarassing you could see after first couple of minutes playing a high line with Aubameyang on Azpilicueta was suicide and Chelsea were rightly punished for it. To me both Arteta and Lampard shouldn't be in these jobs both are big jobs and quite frankly they haven't earnt the right to take control of such big clubs.
Who the furrrk is Steffen? Lampard's position is becoming untenable I swear.
Hmm after watching that first half, Lampard time maybe up sooner than later. Very much like how Arteta had set up Arsenal for much of this season. Players have no clue what to do from defensive point of view, and relying far too much on Pulisic offensively
Since I don't see Frank as being blinded by his own arrogance, nor openly dissing one of his best players to play one of his mates who's suspect. I have to say that he is the better manager. Tbf he was doing ok until he said "Can I have 70 mil for a player," ya know taking his time, not wanting to upset the chemistry. And Roman said "200M, you buy 3!" went all rushing the bloke, now he's got chaos
I hope he gets a few wins sharpish though. I reckon Roman loves him because he is the club Legend Frankie Lampard. But I don't know if the love will be enough to keep him his job. Hope so because it's great watching him going at it with Ole and Arteta. From the perspective it could only be better if it was Bergkamp Viera or Henry instead of Mikel. Yeah he was a Gunner but he's not the right one timewise for the trio.
