Players break covid rules: England/Scotland

Rules in Scotland have been far tighter for the public, never mind players.

There were more cases in Liverpool than Glasgow last week but we were in lockdown and they could go to the football

Symptomatic of the way the Scottish government view football and people in general.

They have no time for football and think footballers should be held aloft as some kind of ambassadors. South of the border they’re treated no differently in the eyes of the law.

In Scotland the government will not only punish the players but will unilaterally impose measure on their employers. Happens in no other industry anywhere unless the business itself has broken the rules.

Wait until she’s finished her netting today to witness her next new set of imposed restrictions.

I’m dreading the announcements about to come out. It all points to the roll out of these vaccines taking a lot longer than the Spring and us not being told of the already known logistical and manufacturing issues already holding it up.

I'm fine with there being sanctions but clearly not draconian ones. Maybe a two-match ban, for a first offence. The problem down south seems to be that their FA have left it to the clubs, which is a 'turkeys voting for Christmas' scenario. Are the English FA washing their hands of the matter (ironically enough)?

I looked up the vaccine calculator to try to gauge when I might be vaccinated and it estimated I could expect to be done between January and June NEXT YEAR!!!

If that's going to be the way it is for able bodied people in the UK we are so screwed.

I live south of the border and most reasonable people I know believe that not enough is being done. So think yourself lucky that you are living in a bit of the UK that is trying to get it right

That where those quiet, bookish lassies hang out? And then when they take their glasses and cardies off, they’re total sexpots? Like on the internet.

It should be bans on the individuals that breach the rules rather than the clubs but if teams are being punished then Celtic should now be as well.

Or St Mirren etc let off. Same rules must apply for all.

Unsurprising that England is in a much worse state than us. We have a competent government.

For putting Hibs players and Staff at increased risk of catching covid by mixing with members of the public in Dubai and not being able to isolate for 10 days on return as they are due to play in a week.

3 point award to Hibs then you can appeal like St Mirren etc

Ok we'll take the three points of Rangers for the games within ten days of returning from european trips and outside of glasgow.

We'll take the points from Rangers after having spent a few days with his dad after Christmas just off the plane from Romania where Covid is rife

Well maybe if the people close to you had obeyed the rules you wouldn’t be in this mess.

In which case there wouldn’t be these harsh, sledgehammer ridiculous lockdowns at every turn.
