Having no CBs makes a massive difference even tonight.
If that needs explaining change sports.
Our whole team is effected, we have.done amazingly so far. We have been woeful since we lost even matip
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You started the season with 3 first team CB's,why did Klopp think that was adequate when 2 of them are known sicknotes.
Klopps call and it's something that he should of highlighted and addressed.
Got no sympathy when your manager knows he has 3 recognised CB's and 2 of those are injury prone.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I think you are looking to start a fight in am empty bar mate. Nobody wants sympathy. We are all questioning the same thing you are.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Just explaining to rouge that Klopp took risks in not getting at least 1 other experienced CB as he seems to believe that you are really unlucky to lose 3 CB's at the same time.Considering 2 are sicknotes then it's not really a stretch that 3 could be out at the same time.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah I'd 100% agree with that. I said in october it was just about hanging on in there until january until we could buy a cb. We have hung in there but we are now wilting. If we dont buy 1 and fail to win the league we have nobody to blame but ourselves.

I dont know who you support but lets take utd. Bailly sicknote so who replaces him if maguire gets injured for example. Jones? Sick note
----------------------------------------------------------------------
United have 7 CB's to chose from AND have the likes of Shaw to play in a back 3.Four of those 7 are sicknotes, but they still have 3 other than those sicknotes.Liverpool had 3 from the start 2 are sicknotes.
I don't know what your point is to be honest. You had 2 CB's on the bench this evening BUT your manager chose to play neither

Phillips and Williams are the 2 I mentioned on the bench that KLOPP WON'T START.
United's 7 CB's are Lindelof,Rojo,Jones,Bailly,Maguire,Fosu Mensa and Tuanzebe.
Out of those Jones,Rojo,Bailly and Fosu Mensa are sicknotes.
OGS will play any of those as CB ahead of putting a midfielder out of position in there
I’m sorry, but you can’t expect a team to function when it’s all smashed up. VVD is a huge loss, his leadership as much as his game. Matip is broken along with Gomez and back up Lovren sold. That’s where the problem is because the rest of the team is being shuffled to accommodate the injuries.
We need to enter the transfer market but I hear there is little money to spend. It looks like we will have to find another gem like Matip but one who doesn’t keep getting injured.
Man City must be the hot favourites for the title now.
I love how it takes a loss for some to come kicking and screaming to the pity party.
I've move well past this phase and am full on worried about not getting 4th.

I wonder when TAA will turn up this season.
I wonder what happens with the confidence of the young lads like Nat Phillips and Rhys Williams when 2 midfielders, granted senior players, are starting ahead of them in the game.
Even players like Origi and Minamino, when you need a goal, and they don't get used like last night. Jones as well would be one who is disappointed I'm sure that he didn't get a chance last night in a game that needed some flair and inspiration.
One thing learned from their recent form/teamsheets is that their back up/youth players must be fckin garbage.

This is my gripe, I don't actually think R Williams is actually that poor. Fair enough some mistakes to iron out and does look below the level required, but he has potential and I wouldn't personally say sticks out like a sore thumb in the side, he's put in some decent performances of note but still has a long way to go yet.
Origi and Minamino just don't do enough on a consistent basis, nor does Shaqiri really. I don't doubt they've all got quality really, but they don't impact games enough.
Grant for WBA really exposed Reece William's lack of pace on one occasion. I was alarmed by that and my guess Klopp was too.
We need a CB in this window, but I'm not convinced we are going to get him. Having no fit senior CB's has as we feared become a big issue. Without VVD and Gomez we badly lack recovery pace through the middle. Combine this our front three playing like they've just met we are for the first time in two years genuinely out of form.
Agree with that about Grant, but when you consider the WBA game we created so many chances in that first half shows how much having the midfielders in them positions clearly helps to create chances for the front 3.
So the sacrifice of having Williams in the team to develop with the advantage of having the midfielders back in position to help create is a big plus, evidenced by last night where we created very little.
Fabinho in midfield does free the rest up to be more attacking though.
Like Hendo has been playing the 6 recently where he's not as good as he is when he's on the right. Thiago could have played further forward last night too had Fabinho been there.

I really really hope we sign a centre back in the summer if we don't now. Matip and Gomez just aren't reliable.
What doesn’t appear to have been said, post-yesterday, is how really good Southampton were, and full marks to them.
You can go on, tanking one and all and whose fault everything was, change this, stop that, sign this player get rid of that one, go here there and everywhere:
We were beaten, tanked, by a better team.
Now, move on.
We wont win the title without defenders. You can’t predict two long term injuries but for me any squad needs 4 senior centre backs, and we only had 3 at the start of this season.
Even so, we’ve been so short in attacking areas recently which isn’t like us. Jota can’t come back soon enough.
Often the questioning of managers after games, win or lose, is juvenile. This was the case during the interview with Klopp after yesterday's loss, and led to a five minute Klopp ramble. To his defence he gave credit to the opposition however, sadly, he also had to take a cheap shot at the game officials. Klopp, as you repeated over and over again, if your team had taken it's chances you would have won, please show some class!
