Let's face it. Our signings have been hopeless. Our offloads.........With Keogh and Martin we would not be where we are now!
Heb with both of those players Derby achieved nothing after promising so much.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I think we need to recalibrate. Not talking about auto's or playoffs, but survival now. That would be an achievement as things stand.
Agreed Heb but I would prefer younger fresh players than those.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
To be honest I was happy for Martin to go, great servant and all but on the basis that we had seen the best of him. That assumed we would recruit better.
Keogh left in disgrace but has left a large hole to fill.
Vidal is correct in that we need reinforcements but leadership is a force multiplier and not to be underestimated.......
What would Shinnie have done differently in today’s match if he had been wearing the armband?
Was Jason given it as an incentive to stay if another club comes in for him ?
Hope that wasnt the reason, cos it may backfire.

Hard to explain. Vidal. You are a functionary. I was a leader.
Yeah OK. Can he not lead unless he is wearing an armband?

This supposed takeover needs to be concluded either way ASAP, or we won't get the necessary change of personnel needed to take the club forward.

Nothing tangible but maybe as a mature player with more natural authority - he's been around the block a few times - it would provide more leadership.

Sorry that was a bit rude........
Captains can and do get subbed and then they give the armband to somebody else. Surely a player can still be a leader without being called captain. Or are we only allowed to have one leader at any one time? What does this leadership actually consist of?
Davies was clearly a leader when Rooney was captain. Norwich game springs to mind.
Yes. And Shinnie could have run around today shaking his fist at team mates if he had wanted to and doing other captainly things. I’m sure he wouldn’t have been told off.
How many times did some fans complain of lack of leadership when Keogh was here.
Seems like its in the eye of the beholder, like 'quality'

It's not a panacea. Some teams have numerous "leaders". Others are too reliant on one captain. Our problems run far deeper than who has the armband. But it is a statement of intent.

And it has just been pointed out to me that Rooney and Shinnie must be mutually incomprehensible. Which won't help!
Not about the armband, but Shinnie has been subbed too often recently and its not ended well
Shinnie and Bielik was just asking for trouble (said in hindsight )
I agree Shinnie would probably have been less naive than Knight in giving away the free kick that led to the goal. But a few minutes before that their player ran away from Shinnie down their left so maybe he was tiring.
If we'd have signed David Perkins when I said to.. . đ¤ˇđťâď¸
We’ve never adequately replaced Paul Green.
