What Sheriff said via Mendy.
For the sake of argument I'll agree Mendy to be the most important simply by virtue of who's behind him, but he's not exuding confidence himself let alone in anyone else.
Mendy's the epitome of a good one season stopgap, and if he's cool with it would actually be a very good #2 IMO, but he's shaky af. I saw it when he was keeping clean sheets, and it's impossible not to see it now.

Order of importance at the back:
1. Mendy
2. James
3. Chilwell
4. Silva
First three are untouchables can't lose them for a lengthy period or we'll suffer badly.
Last one we can do without, and not have as much detrimental effect on the team...as has already panned-out the times Silva doesn't play and Mendy has an entirely different back 4 infront of him...kept clean-sheets and looked fairly secure (in CL & PL).
Reinforces my stance that Mendy is the real difference-maker at the back, exudes a certain degree of confidence into the backline.
Silva is a reasonable stopgap

What happened to Christensen
"Mendy's the epitome of a good one season stopgap, and if he's cool with it would actually be a very good #2 IMO, but he's shaky af."
Mendy is a very good number 1 that has saved our defenders (including Silva) on a number of occasions this season, but gets glossed over.
You've been against Mendy from day one...your view on the subject is not a surprise.

'AC lacks heart and bottle'
If that were the case...Frank certainly wouldn't have started him as the predominant right CB out of all our centre-halfs and hold him in such high regard.
For context of how highly Frank rates AC...once said this (not too long ago):
“I trained with him a fair bit when I was still there. We were all very aware of his abilities.
“He came over to join in senior sessions when he was 16 and was very impressive.
“Some young players were not ready for the increase in speed of the game, to make decisions and choices on the ball when they were invited to join in.
“But even at that young age you could see he had composure and an awareness about him that made him fit straight in.”
“At his age and with the talent he’s got, he is worth an awful lot of money.
“It’s very important that he’s back fit again for these big games because he is a key player and this is crunch time of the season.”
Still holds that sort of view to this day:

Frank unreservedly believes in Christensen and rightly so, brilliant defender.
One thing Christensen definitely lacks is being vocal (not the only one), communication is off more than anything else.
That can easily be worked on, Frank' shrewd man-management will make sure to extract that out of him sooner rather than later.
Not in the top 4 anymore though
