He is a winger, but tbh England has so many RBs it’s unreal. Arnold, AMN, Walker, Reece, Tripier, Bisaka and many more I forgot. Who would GS take he’s spoilt.

Weakness is at the CF position, apart from Kane the rest are questionable unless he recalls Vardy.

Grealish is a busy, useful player who could get the ball into the box for Kane and Vardy who I think is a must because of his scoring ability. Those two rampaging up front would terrorise any defence. Maddison should get in as well because of his understanding with Vardy and quite a good scoring record as well.

Grealish is probably the best player in that list, and he isn't world class.

Consistency is one of the things that make players world class. These players are consistently irregular so they are nowhere near. I do like both Grealish and Maddison but they are very lightweight.

How is Southgate going to fit these guys in with 5 at the back and 2 CDMs?

At youth he was a winger but now plays in the midfield 3 for us.

Against most of the dross England actually have to face in qualifiers and group stages we should really be building the side around the creativity of Foden and Grealish in midfield imo. With Kane and Sterling certainties for 2 of the attacking roles (deopending on formation).

Mount if he continues his progression could come in for one of Foden or Grealish as an extra CM against better sides.

Henderson the midfielder to start every game.

Southgate will never start with only 1 DM though, even against cannon fodder it will be Hendo and Rice/Dier/Winks.
