Yuvraj’s tweet on the game was interesting.. if Harbijan and kumble were bowling on these pitches they would be on a thousand wickets..

I think the disgraceful showing against spin will mean he gets another go, despite him being the worst of a terrible bunch. Hopefully the next test will be the last time we see him playing for England in the test side.

Genuinely don't care that we've lost, but so annoyed the game hasn't even lasted 2 days.

Might as well have just played a ODI.

Personally think it wasn't the best pitch. It was imo a 170 1st innings pitch not 112. Like cook said England were 70odd for 2 and literally gave it away.

Same could be said about Indian letting Root get 5for with some poor shots.

Thing is we were only 70/2 because India opened with their seamers, same thing happened in India's first innings when they were 90/2.

Once the spinners came on and found their rhythm both sides collapsed.

Evgkand should stick to 20/20. They are embarrassing the country trying to play Test cricket.

I feel cheated by this test match. I was looking forward to watching some cricket at the weekend.

I really wish people would just filter/ignore Sandy. Responding to him only encourages him. Attention is what he craves.

He's spot on..it was dreadful batting...the pitch was an absolute dog to bat on...yeah, & the spinners took full advantage...not least Root on ridiculous figures

But the one thing that stood out for me was the complete lack of application to the task of our batsmen in the second innings...they basically sat back and waited for the ball to get them out...talk about self fulfilling prophecies

Yes the ball was moving, but if you sit back ball after ball in your crease & just let the bowler put you in a corner...guess what - ridiculous

That said...it was very entertaining, & for my money a bit more of this in tests wouldn't go amiss...(to a point) - I mean the fact that they sent out a bloke with a dustpan & brush earlier to pick up the broken wicket pieces said it all.

Terrible pitch. It was dusting from ball one.. But well done India it was the only way you could win. so well done

Root was suggesting it was the pink ball as I was skidding on a lot more than the red which is why so many batsman struggled with the straight delivery.

They definitely need to look at the pink ball given we've constantly seen collapses with it.
