Tonight will tell us a lot.....

24 hours ago I fancied a draw but if if we have Reggie missing and they have Hendo and Matip back I fear its gonna be a long night and a fugly performance. I fear we will see Sissoko, Winks, Moura and Davies all start. I fear any uptick from Liverpool from their recent form and we’re gonna get humped

There’s an opportunity for Spurs to make a statement tonight and we all know how that plays out....... very difficult to make a statement with 25% possession against a good team

Either way we will fack it up.

I fear tonight will look a lot like the game vs Leicester at home..... less said, the better

still a great team they have

lets see how it goes. Draw wouldnt be awful and if Liverpool play well and work for their win i will not be too peezed. Its if we drop points to Brighton i will kick off.

I reckon Spurs will win tonight. It flies in the face of logic but this isn't the sort of game Spurs have been ballsing up this season

Yeah we usually c@ck these situations up so holding no hope. Firmino will probably end up with a brace and a MOTM performance then go on a 10game goalless streak..........

then draw or lose to brighton

My fear is that Jose will play PEH, Sissoko and Winks to take on their MF 3 but it will leave Kane and Son isolotated and Ndombele too far up the pitch relying on others to get him the ball. With Davies at LB there will be zero threat leaving Aurier as the only outlet (that can be hit & miss) and Robertson is a much better defender than TAA on the other side

I’d rather we played PEH & NDombele in a MF 2, 3 ahead of them supporting Kane and if we lose a shoot out 4-3 so be it.... I could take that better than turgid 2-0 defeat with lots of long balls with Kane, Son & NDombele isolated and ineffective..... fingers crossed

Spurs will easily beat them.

COYS. Just hope the lads get in their faces and do everything possible to disrupt their flow. PEH, NDombele and Kane are our best players at keeping the ball so I expect them to be faultless tonight.

I was really impressed with Sheffield United yesterday. Their work rate was just something else. We need that same mentality against this Liverpool side if we are to get anything. Lets see......

COYS!!!!

losing this isnt the end of the world, whatever they are now still defending champs. Like mandy said we are dropping points and having problems in different games to this, need to make a statement win vs Brighton and pick up more points against bottom half sides in 2nd half of the season.

beating Arsenal at the Emirates and Chelsea at home which is around the corner, are far more on the agenda for points 'we should' be taking.

As I have said all along, if we set up with the 'low block' negative tactics, then only the desired result is acceptable. in this game, presumably a win, maybe a draw. low block becomes unacceptable the moment we don't pick up points. on a game by game basis, whether versus Marine or versus 1970s Brazil.

no excuse for a group of international players from t footballing nations, with a sprinkle of world class players for good luck, should ever go out showing zero ambition to win the game.

the very mention of this has made me want to go and lie down in a dark room.

luckily PEH is there to break up any possible sissoko winks CM combination, which despite evidence spanning 3 seasons, with 2 different managers, that it simply doesn't work, is a combination that Jose seems to still deem an option

Just wondering if it's worth sticking some money on a Spurs defeat. If we're going to have another one of these painful outcomes in this fixture, may as well get something out of it.

I get not enjoying the low block, fair enough you've got your opinion on the style of footy you like. But it doesn't make sense to say Mourinho has zero ambition to win games. That's what he made a career out of.
