I wonder how much of a chance he will get now Kabak has signed as I assume the preferred CB partnership for most of the season now will be Fabinho and Kabak. Injuries have played a massive part though, as if we didn't know that already.

I hope he gets a chance as I think he is better than Rhys Williams and possibly Nat Phillips as well. Shame for Phillips though as he's done pretty well overall and you can see his experiences at Stuttgart have served him well, it's just a shame that he probably won't be kept on.

Come on guys if City, United , Chelsea (not including tottenham as he would probably be our best centre half!) signed him you would all be saying ‘who?’

But he does deserve a chance at the very least , some players excel when stepping up

Shalke are having a bad season, so Mersen is saying Kabak is a poor player and his agent should be knighted, I never knew that Shalke played with one defender, quite incredible.

If we all judged individual defenders off the clubs they came from and their positions in the league then some players would never be signed, look at Van Djik for instance. In this day and age, a clubs' on-field performance is impacted by much more than just quality of player on the pitch, there is plenty behind the scenes which affect performance naturally.

I think he is a decent individual who will do a decent job here.

I don't think it's about not giving him a chance. We all will be over the moon if he proves his minerals.

However expectations are low and rightly so imo. These low expectations could also work in his favour.

We may have to be a little patient before we give him a chance. It took 5 months before Robertson was integrated into the team, we might only see this lad a couple of times this season.

We signed Hyypia when he was 25 and I'd never heard of him either. Bet there were complaints about that signing at the time. You never know who will step up and make the grade.

FSG have truly won!

Hes a 2m signing. If he turns out to be anything more than slightly above average we will have done well. Think that needs to be bore in mind when we start seeing him play.

Probably be better than Ben Teke, but not as good as Ben Ayoun.

It's easy to fear the worst when he has the same name as our own mediocre player.

For the money paid not underwhelming at all, he could thrive in our system.
Let’s see how he gets on.

Dont think anyone is saying nit to give him a chance. But no way will i ay both davies and kabak together in next few games.

I think people are saying kabak should play first because he has played at a higher level. Klopp will find out pretty soon who he thinks should be first choice.

However he does worry me how he feels williams is better than philips
