I went on a stadium tour pre covid and the guide there said the whole lot is being replaced under soil heating system and the pitch as it's past it's usage date. Was supposed to have been done before this season but obviously covid happened.

Thought Ian had a decent first half holding the ball up and laying it off, Vardy is good at that but recently has given the ball away far too much.

The groundsman ‘relay’ the pitch at least once a calendar year as far as I’m aware.

I’m guessing what they mean is a complete new fibre stitch system which is the underpinning base which is the foundation for the integrity of the pitch.
