Just park this nonsense as it is offensive to those risking their lives to save morons.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
My brother is working for the NHS - he and a lot of his colleagues are as skeptical as I am on this topic. Only those who want to be offended will be offended
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Please tell me he wears his full ppe at work and has taken the vaccine
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He has taken the first jab. Don’t see relevance to the topic tho
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Just checking his skepticism/stupidity isnt putting his colleagues and patients at risk

You do realise the vaccine is to protect the person who has been vaccinated from experiencing covid symptoms, and even after being vaccinated, said person can transmit the disease to others, right?

No shizit sherlock

So basically his skepticism would not put anyone at any more risk than they are already at. I guess it is you who is the stupid one

There isn’t enough real world data on the effect the vaccine has on transmission, but an early study by Oxford suggests it could reduce transmission substantially. So you should absolutely take the jab with others in mind.

Which is why I mentioned him wearing his full ppe
aswell as the vaccine you moron

----------------------------------------------------------------------
There isn't enough sufficient data to say that with any certainty if that is true or not.

Some previous vaccines have reduced the viral load that infected patients can transmit, thereby reducing transmission. Some vaccines actually stop transmission outright. We just don't have enough data to say with any conviction if these vaccines will replicate other vaccines in this manner.

Which is why the current advice is to still wear your mask, follow social distancing measures, and wash your hands constantly.

Id wager I'd know more about ppe than you you twunt

Like I said as long as your idiot brother in the NHS knows is more to the point

And why would my brother’s skepticism about who death figures are registered have any effect on whether he would be vaccinated or continue to wear PPE?

It wouldn’t - but as already said earlier, you have an opinion that differs to others and suddenly you are Qanon Shaman and think the covid19 is a hoax.

Thanks for proving my point

Wee change of pace, but..

Am I the only one surprised and disappointed that the Impeachment Trial doesn't have a Half-Time show, cheerleaders, and hype songs throughout?

C'mon America get it together!

So depressing that so many people are not just willing but eager to hand every aspect of their lives over to a corrupt Government because of intense hysterical fear-mongering in the media.

Lockdowns have caused more harm than good - all to give 95-year-olds a slightly better lifespan, at the expense of a year's education for young people, a year's poor mental health, a year's worth of job losses, a year's worth of small businesses shutting down.

Corporations have made literal trillions throughout lockdown while the working class have had to deal with all of the above negative effects.

And all of the above has been cheered on by most of the people in this thread, all in the name of 'saving lives', from a virus with an infection fatality rate of <1%.

Now we have potential 10 year prison sentences for anyone who lies about visiting 'undesirable' countries - TEN YEARS - you'd get less for manslaughter or being a nonce.

And never-ending 'new mutant strains!!' as a means to justify more draconian, dystopian measures. All backed up by The Science(TM) - as if science is one unified idea you can't question, and not the inherently self-questioning practice that it is/should be.

Lockdowns objectively don't work, otherwise we wouldn't be on our third go now would we? If your doctor prescribes you antibiotics and the first two courses don't work, they change course, or change treatment altogether, not just give you more of the same.

And of course it's all about 'not overwhelming the NHS' - which they've consistently under-funded for the last decade. And yet, despite the reduction in beds in hospitals over the last ten years, current occupancy is around 78% across the UK, as opposed to circa 84% for almost every month going back a decade. But 'HOSPITALS ARE OVERWHELMED!' if you believe the narrative.

It's worrying that so many are ready to accept ever-increasing dystopian measures and laws preventing their freedom, that often don't require parliamentary approval all in the name of eradicating (can't be done) a virus that has so far killed 0.17% of the UK population - of which the vast vast majority are 80+

And before anyone hysterically cries 'conspiracy nut!' - I don't think the whole thing is one big conspiracy. I think the media (looking for hits/viewers/readers) overhyped the virus to begin with as they always do. The Govt. (worried about the optics as usual) panicked and made mistakes - as they have repeated throughout the last year - and the whole exercise since has been an effort to justify their original mistakes. They can't change course now because it would mean admitting how badly they've messed up.

And you've all lapped it up, working from home in your PJs and complaining about the tiny number of people having raves. All while every factory, supermarket and building site in the country is open as normal. And you wonder why the virus spreads.

The British people - known for their supposed bulldog spirit and resistance to authoritarianism have rolled over and submitted to an insane and irresponsible government and most of the people in this thread are at the front of the queue, licking the boots of their masters. Pathetic

OP's point is simply that when people die (for any reason) after having covid, it's classed as a covid death so it should follow that people dying (for any reason) after having the vaccine are classed as 'vaccine deaths'.

That proposition obviously raises uncomfortable questions for most of you so you're deflecting it with silly conspiracy talk.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Exactly, not sure why people call me stupid over that.

The big surprise is that governments around the world are doing the same think, even in democracies. Odd because it's unpopular and will damage the economy; neither of which are good vote winners.

posted on 10/2/21

OK, fine, that's true - but then you have no evidence that they cause more good than harm do you? So why do you label anyone who questions lockdowns or the approved narrative as a crazy conspiracy nut?

You wanted facts and figures - in my last post I gave facts and figures that are from the NHS/Government sources directly.

The University of Cambridge debating society just had a debate on the efficacy of lockdowns and concluded that they don't work/cause more harm than good. Just as scientists from some of the world's leading universities signed the Great Barrington Declaration. But I guess they're the wrong 'brand' of scientist is this case right? They're not members of The Science(TM).

It's worrying to me we should 'follow the science' but only certain scientists that fit the narrative. We should 'listen to experts' unless they question lockdowns. And we should ban people on social media if they say anything contrary to the agreed narrative. We may as well live in China.

Because it's likey that the virus played some part in the deaths.
And unlikely that the vaccine did.
