If you use the word "science" then your theory can automatically be discredited because science is just a made up word used to pull wool over our eyes. If you are told anything by a scientist, the opposite is immediately true. It's called the real world. You would only know if you studied at the university of life like I did.
China is being secretive for some reason (IMO probably because they messed up and want to cover their harrises)
----------------------------------------------------------------
Authoritarian regimes *habitually* behave in a secretive and obstructive way in relation to foreign journalists investigating sensitive topics, regardless of whether there's something to cover up. I wouldn't treat that as a smoking gun. In fact, it's more suspicious if the authorities go out of their way to permit access to something in a country like China: this is a clear sign that they want to get a narrative of some sort out.
The accidental lab escape idea is theoretically possible but I think anyone discussing it needs to be very clear that there's no positive evidence for this - it's just conjecture.
On the other hand, there's plenty of evidence, modelling and historic precedent for the natural transmission from animal kingdom to humans, and the behaviour of the Chinese state (from local officials prioritising trying to prevent embarrassment / panic by supressing the story to subsequent opaqueness on the part of the central government) is entirely consistent with what you'd expect of officialdom in that country.

It doesn't have to be some wild conspiracy, it could just be that someone made a mistake - dropped a vial, caught themselves on a needle etc. - and accidentally 'leaked' it from the Wuhan lab.
Knowing humans, that's the simplest and most likely explanation. And it factors in that it just so happened to be detected first near the lab working on bat-originating coronaviruses.
China then cover it up as expected.
No Bill Gates/5G talk necessary
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I was about to post similar.
China was probably doing a lot of research into corona viruses and either someone fked up or perhaps it was deliberate for some Machiavellian virus research/experimental purposes. More likely a mistake.
Origins in animals? Sure. Mistake made during research? Don’t see why not.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Apparently it’s crackpot to suggest human error
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I wouldn’t go as far as crackpot, but as Diafol has said, until there’s any evidence supporting the human error theory, it’s wise to use Occam’s Razor here.
It’s just overwhelmingly likely that we’ve seen zoonotic transmission, in a wet market or otherwise.
There are just (literally) hundreds of examples of the same thing happening historically.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I’m not disputing this is the likely cause
What I am suggesting as we don’t have a confirmed cause here is that it wouldn’t surprise me in the slightest if human error was involved and the virus was accidentally released from the lab.
Until China gives full disclosure we just don’t think oknow.

It is "extremely unlikely" coronavirus came from a laboratory incident in China, according to a joint mission investigating the origins of the pandemic.
The team, however, remains baffled as to the origins of Barry Smith and his many mutations.

Well I am always proven correct. Scientists try and tell us that global warming exists. They say it will be 1 degree warmer in 50 years or some nonsense. Well yesterday it was 4 degrees and today it is -4 degrees. That's 8 degrees cooler in ONE DAY yet no one is screaming about global cooling?? Just proved global warming is a myth though. Next.
