As for Haaland...stumbing block is his agent (Raiola) who we've never had close or good relations with, has a big influence and dictates where his clients end up (usually based on what club can offer the most agent fee).
I don't expect any of his or Mendes client' to sign (severed ties with the latter).
The reports that he is now available for a cheaper price than last summer now makes this a lot more feasible. Most reports are now saying €80m which isn’t a lot more than what we signed Pulisic for. But like you said it means accepting that our other talented attackers (CHO, Pulisic, Ziyech) may have their minutes reduced. In Ziyech’s case there’s even a case for we may as well sell him and try and recuperate what we got imo in this situation which would be a shame.
With the other news that Haaland could be available for €75m in summer of 2022 with that release clause, and if there was ever a (not so unrealistic) situation it had to be Haaland OR Sancho to target I would prefer we target Haaland.
Who will you be selling to make room? You're overstocked on wide/creative players as it is.
Sorry commented before reading all the article.
Sancho makes next to no sense for you guys with Ziyech, Pulisic and Havertz yet to fully bed in.
There you have three exceptionally talented players which the board will surely be expecting Tuchel to get a tune out of.
We ain't getting Sancho or Haaland.
Linked again due to his price drop. I'm always going to be a fan of this type of player but realistically we don't have space.
Pulisic, Ziyech, CHO are all meant to be first choice starters. Add in the fact Werner, Mount and Havertz can all occupy front roles and we have an overload. Can't really drop £80m on squad depth
I'd rather we find a replacement for Jorginho and Giroud.
Giroud is being moved on this summer (out of contract), served us well. Time is up.
Not a good fit under Tuchel.
We need that 4th wide player. Currently only have Ziyech, Pulisic and Hudson Odoi. I don’t like seeing the likes of Werner, Mount and Havertz playing wide. Also Our wide players seem to pick up a lot of injuries. Sancho would be a great buy.
Yeah I’d rather see us focus on other positions. A CB, CM and CF.

I’d be really surprised if that’s where you focussed given your weaknesses elsewhere.
You’ve got three potentially top drawer wingers at the club already, three other first team forwards who can play wide, RLC and Kenedy to come back from loan, and Anjorin coming through.
We do need another winger but I’d rather we try for someone like Neto than pay a huge fee on Sancho when the bulk of our spending should be at CB and DM.

Kenedy will be shifted.
Not sure about Loftus-Cheek.
Depends on how much Tuchel values Ziyech & Pulisic...which isn't much at present.
We'll address both attacking and defensive position when players are offloaded.
Almost certain to move Barkley on permanently, that's 30-40m. Giroud released. Jorgi back to Italy, if Sarri returns to Napoli. One of Alonso or Emerson gone.
All off the wage bill.
