I'm not a fan of Jose at all but I don't think he can really be held accountable for last night. The intention was there to play on the front foot which is what we've all wanted. We should have scored more than 4 realistically and most of the goals conceded were individual errors. I don't see how that falls on him. I've been desperate for him to go but despite the fact we lost, I saw more encouraging signs last night. Whilst he's generally had us on a poor run of form playing terrible football, last night isn't the stick to beat him with. Winks, yes. Lloris yes. Hojbjerg, yes. But not Jose... for once.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah this. It's a refreshing change to have a game finish with a loss and we're not blaming Jose for it.

Spurtle , you are so optimistic as a Spurs supporter I have noticed. The amount times this lot have let us down, I admire your optimism I really do. We ain’t winning Europa mate, not a hope in hell.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It's better for one's health to be an optimistic Spurs fan Don. You will come to realise this in due course. I cba being angry or pessimistic anymore. Not worth the energy. We are a tin pot club as highlighted in the next article above this one.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I’m all good in my personal life bro. Don’t let Spurs affect me in that way, but you can’t help when you have a passion for something, hence why Spurs pi** me off because they let us down time and time again.

Don, I'm just going off what I've been watching. Do you not think we've seen a bit better in terms of how we've played since the Chelsea result? I get that WBA are the pits but even I was thinking that might have ended up poor for us. Then scoring 4 goals last night was refreshing as much as the defence was shocking.
I guess the fact that Jose surprised me by dropping Sissoko and playing a line up with more intent has given me some cause for optimism that he is capable of changing his ways again. Don't get me wrong, I'm well aware we'll probably resort back to the negative defensive ways soon. We shall see.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
To be fair it’s not difficult to see an improvement after that Chelsea result; that first half in particular was as bad as it gets. Pitiful.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Have to agree with Ace here and we both discussed after, I was never getting my hopes up with that result against the worse side in the division. Yes, attacking wise last night no complaints, but defensively to lose a game after scoring 4 is unacceptable. If Jose can’t get results playing attacking or defensive, then he simply has to go and someone come in who can.

Yes that was shocking. Nevertheless the exclusion of Sissoko and the inclusion of Lamela and Lucas in the starting line up, despite their lack of quality, has rejuvenated us somewhat.
Whether it's a more long term thing remains to be seen, but give me a team that is showing willingness to get forward over a whole 90 minute period and create chances, over the dirge we've been served up since mid-December. The line up and performance yesterday wouldn't have drawn 1-1 with Fulham or lost 1-0 to Brighton.

I fear that this will be like the West Ham result all over again. Despite us showing promise last night we conceded five goals and Jose if true to form will now go ultra defensive. As Don says, if he fails to get results both with attacking and defensive football then he has to go.

I think this is bound to happen at least for the City game coming up. He may start Lamela but I can definitely see Sissoko brought back in and emphasis on defending drilled into everyone. After City is when we'll know for sure if anything has really changed or not.
I agree Jose needs to go if he can't sort the defence or attack out although I do believe yesterday was a freakishly bad day at the office for the defence. Not every game is going to end with us conceding 5 goals or more.
Don...Europa is our only remaining hope for silverware.
Can we do it with our back line?
Well....Reguilon is good enough, if he's back from injury.
I'd take Aurier over Doherty any day.
And in the middle, it has to be Rodon and Toby.
If nobody gets injured we might do it.
That's IT....for this season.
As for next season, with ENIC in charge......we might see Kane and Son gone...think on that!
