Can't be any worse than Ozil can he? Good luck to him

Yeah, nothing amazing, but solid debut start. Linked well with Saka on the right while Auba and ESR did the same on the left.
Encouraging.

He was decent considering he's hasn't played much recently. We will see how he goes, if he turns out to be good we might be able to do a decent deal with Madrid given they are desperate to offload players.

Yeh he linked play well with Saka, esr, Ceballos , got a gd vibe about him. After a few more games I reckon he will start to impose himself more.

The guy just played everything safe. Seemed way off the pace. Needs to seriously step up in his next game and impose himself. We can’t afford any passengers in this team especially with that caaant Willian getting continuous game time.

Needs more games to get sharper but can def see a player in him. Was off pace today

Good first game for him. Solid.

Faded in the second half and Arteta rightly subbed him.

Promising.

He did very well but it was obvious that he does yet have those "automatisms" that Per always talked about. Having him and ESR on the pitch together worked beautifully and brought out the best in Ceballos, too.

He has already rendered Lacazette obsolete in that position.

Excellent player. Has a natural eye for a pass. Can't wait to embed him into the team.

Going forward, the front-4 we played yesterday (Auba/Saka/ESR/Odegaard) should start. We look way more fluid and intelligent with the ball that we have with Pepe/Willian on the pitch.

Auba looks to be confident and hungry again which is what we need.

You can't have ESR and Odegaard on the pitch together long term. Unless we start playing like City, eventually midfields will run through us with both ESR and Odegaard in the team

We've always played playmakers on the wings over the years, it will give us more control and possession which we've been lacking. Pepe or Willian instead of ESR or Odegaard doesn't make us any more solid, Pepe can always comes in for one of them but it gives us more options now.

For me Odegaard starts with ESR while Partey is out. When Partey comes back we only need one of them.

Actually agree with J99 on this!!
