Who will end up with the most Grand Slams?

Nah mate, I’m asking for certain surfaces to be fast and benefit the more attacking players like they do in all sports. You should be encouraged to be more attacking as that is what the crowd likes to see.

Only in Tennis do they set up rules to suit defensive players. I want men with muscles to serve fast, I don’t want men to play a women’s game standing miles behind the baseline, grunting, double handed backhands, millions of breaks of serve. You have the women’s game for that.

I don’t deny Nadal or Djokovic, both are legends but what can’t be denied is that Djokovic only had around 7 slams until 2014 and then suddenly when Federer was around 33, suddenly Djokovic mops up 12 more slams. The one year Federer did well as an old man (2017) Djokovic was AWOL.

However, I do consider Djokovic greater than Nadal. Nadal has been so dependent on clay, it’s not even funny.

Look guys I’m not saying Nadal and Djokovic are not legends, of course they are. To be honest, I’m not even a Federer fan, I’m only a supporter of attacking tennis.

My opinion is that Djokovic had his peak when Fed before 2014 and after that he’s still great but has had very little competition and that’s why he continues to win slams.

I would consider Federer’s 20 slams more impressive because the conditions favour the more defensive players from the back of the court. I personally thought it was a bad decision to slow the courts down. But even after the courts did slow down, Fed has still won so many slams. If there were faster courts for the majority of his career, I believe he would be well ahead of Novak and Nadal.

However one thing I will say is Nadal, Djokovic and Sampras are better at big points than Federer. Fed is still good but misses too many opportunities. I believe Fed is definitely the most naturally gifted of the 4 though.

I agree he will get the most slams, but you are going way overboard with the amount of slams he will win. That’s just my opinion.

The best and most funny part is the fact that they slowed the courts down, had candy draws for Nadal and even had the French last year even though Wimbledon got cancelled and now all that struggle just to beat Fed slam record and he will be surpassed almost instantly by Djokovic.

With the pretty unpopular Djokovic taking over, I see a big drop in the popularity of tennis, it could end up being as insignificant as badminton or squash are now. I blame the slow courts.

-----------

Federer only won 1 grand slam from the age of 30 onwards when Djokovic was healthy... wimbledon in 2012.

As soon as Djokovic began his early prime, Federer couldn't win anything, when he was still in his prime.

Federer has a very aesthetically pleasing game, incredible to watch at times. He just isn't as effective a player as Djokovic unfortunately, and the numbers show that.

Like I say. if they were both born in the same year. Federer doesn't win 10 slams.

Wrong again, you guys make it so easy for me.

Djokovic was at his absolute peak in 2011 when he went 4-5 months undefeated and then Federer smoked him in the French Open semi final on the slowest court ever which should’ve been perfect for Djokovic against a declining Federer.

In fact in 2011-12 it was a declining Federer, not Nadal that was beating Djokovic.

This was when Federer was nowhere near his peak and we were playing on slow courts.

Djokovic has beaten Federer in 3 finals at Wimbledon. Federer's favourite surface. Federer has never beaten Djokovic in a Wimbledon final. Federer's favourite surface.

Imagine Nadal had lost 3 french open finals to Federer and won none of the finals. That's the same level we are talking about here.

Oh the Murray fan is here.

I just wanted to mention one part about Murray not getting enough support at Wimbledon.

Actually all I saw was pampered housewives with their Union Jack flags out and their short Judy Murray haircuts screeching and fist pumping whenever Murray won a point. It was so funny to see them all cry when a well past it Federer smashed him in the final in 2012 and even in 2015.

Federer should be compared to Murray based on their head to head rather than being compared to Nadal and Djokovic. Murray actually had a better head to head over Federer during Federer's peak years. Federer clawed it back when Andy was a cripple.

Firstly as I've said a million times before the courts got slower and Fed started declining in 2007.

Anyway, what was the head to head in Grand Slams?

Murray beat him only in Mickey Mouse tournaments.

He won 3 poxy slams and that's the reason for you creaming yourself about Djokovic your saviour. Even in Djokovic's case, you bring up matches after Federer hit 33 in 2014

Murray supposedly at his peak against Federer lost 3 Grand Slam Finals and only won 1 set and lost 9. In all 3 matches, he only won 1 set, but he cried twice.

Yes the Murray/Federer rivalry was interesting, but can we get back to a top tier rivalry? Nadal vs Djokovic?

Are you sure it is slower courts and not heavier air caused by you talking out of your arrse?

Grand slams finals win % between the 3:

Nadal 65% (31 matches)
Djokovic 53% (34 matches)
Federer 32% (31 matches)

That is the definition of a serial loser.

Even on grass his win % isn't above 50%.

There could be an argument for him being the WORST of all time.

As mentioned a million times before, most of the slam finals between Federer and Djokovic are were 2014 and after where he was nowhere near his peak.

When Federer was somewhere close to his peak, him and Djokovic always used to meet in the semis for some weird reason. Federer won many of those semis even on slower courts.

As for Nadal, he played many finals against Federer on clay and the finals outside clay, Federer is leading 3-1 I believe.

Anyway, I agree that Federer has been very disappointing in finals against Nadal and Djokovic, there are many finals that he had numerous break points and many chances to win and bottled them.

Federer by no means is the perfect player, but all I have said is the slower courts do suit defensive players like Djokovic, Nadal and Murray.

Question regarding Murray

How did he become World Number 1 in 2016 when as you said he was a cripple?

Will Murray take his game to a new level by getting a new coach? Who will it be this time? Martina Navratilova, Judy Murray? Lindsay Davenport?
