Happy for the guy. Got too much grief on here.
Was there an option to buy in the contract?
Possibly, he's still only young.
I seriously cannot believe that West Ham are genuinely in contention for a top 4 position!
Imagine Lingard going on loan only to end up higher in the table than us
Good for him. Ridiculous to bring him back, get a good fee for him and wish him well.
We either sell players on cheap or keep them long enough to make nothing- said players are also doing nothing for us on the field.
I don't think he's going to resurrect his United career from the bench.
He's better off playing week in week out.
Playing well again today, can he resurrect his Utd career?
......
Of course he can. At West Ham.
Close to 30 and some are hoping he can resurrect his Utd career?!
Squad player at best for Utd, first choice for West Ham, why would he swap?!
Very pleased he's playing for starters and overjoyed for him he's playing well. Long term there is no future for him at Utd.
He's not good enough for us if we want to get back in the title picture in next few seasons. Happy for him though.
I wish him the best but his time here has passed imo.
When he's in this sort of form he'd be very useful to have in he squad. But I think it's better for him where he is

Boom boom
Let's revisit this in May - Jesse's always been a bit of a form player - In and Out. West Ham will either want to give him back or pay some real money for the "lad".
I’ve always said he’s a good squad player to have, but from a personal pov he’s be better off at a West Ham and being a starter every week.
He'll keep improving as he matures, it's unfair to expect too much consistency from a kid
If he came back he’s in direct competition with our best player for a place and probably behind Donny top if he is still here.
We also have plenty of wide options that we’ll likely add to in the summer and Jesse isn’t great out wide anyway.
Best for all parties if we sell and get a decent fee.
Yeah he’s probably too far down the pecking order now, done more in 3 games than than DVB all season though. Hopefully this will translate into a good fee for him.
Moyes has done a terrific job too, happy for them both.

This occurred to me too. I think Lingard at his best would represent adequate injury cover for undroppable Bruno. Problem is - he reached that level very rarely for United.

He's more productive this season than Martial.

We should go for Antonio then
Just leave him with Moyes, Ole has failed to get anything out of him for 2 years.
