Ant believe the amount on here saying Dele deserves more minutes.
If we were seeing Dele coming on and genuinely trying to affect the game they'd have a point, but we haven't. He looks lost, and the only answer he has is to hit floor and hope for a free kick or pen.
It's hope telling you he deserves more minutes, not expectation. Dele of 3 years ago helps this team, Dele now is going to add nothing to this season.
It was a Dele flick on the edge of the box that set up Lucas for the winner in Amsterdam?
I appreciate it’s annoying in your own half but you have to be brave and try high risk-high reward football in the final third. Would be ridiculous to suggest otherwise.

Yeah it was, in 90 minutes he might fail a couple of flicks but he could pull one off that leads to a goal and everyone would be raving.

Which is exactly what you want from a forward. If they are trying 5 risky things and 1 pays off and leads to a goal then it’s a good thing. Ronaldo has literally built a career off of it.

Which is a fine enough point, but how many of those failed flicks could have led to goals if he'd picked a better option at the time.
I'm all for his flamboyance and flair when he was backing it up, but when he is providing nothing in his game, he needs to show more than one failed flick as his highlight for his appearance.

Its simple, when he was scoring and creating goals against class opposition his carelessness could be lived with but now he's playing like an old lady it can't.
Literally the last time Dele did a flick around the opposition box was midweek which lead to a great Bale opportunity and a good save

?
I remembered the incident but not who it was against.
I would of googled it before hand if I'd realised that was a problem.
Yeah the incident where he lost the ball. Then it got circulated back to the opposition keeper, who then hoofed it upfield and Stoke scored against a settled defence

And again today, with a nonchalant flick outside of the boot with Son waiting further over free that went to the defender 2 yards away to be cleared.
Gone downhill ever since he became a regular in the England side.

Ok you clearly didn't blame him for that goal but Jose did and his opinion is what counts (at the moment) if Dele wants to get into the team.
He wasn’t great but I would still give him and bale a proper run

Be has shown that he deserves it. Dele has not.
Bale for Moura would be my change (and Toby for Sanchez, or Toby and Rodon for both cb's)
Dele needs to show he's working for the team and not to try and just look flash before he earns a run
Dele can get a good run out in the dead rubber of a second leg in the Europa. Maybe then he can show us if he is worth starting in the next PL game.

I'm sure we'd all love to see Dele return to his best but I think unless he adapts his style and becomes more measured and less flamboyant he is doomed while Jose is manager.
I think both of them are digging their heals in and I'm not expecting anything to change for the remainder of this season.
