Arab has taken a bit of a kicking here, and that's probably because he's gone to the extreme. I would be agreeing with him though if he said we should expect a better standard of football from United. It's better than under previous managers but we do need to see more improvements too.

I honestly couldn't care less Diafol, it's exposed some posters true identities on here tbh especially from the likes of Rosso who I genuinely thought was a decent guy.

Daz made the similar arguments as me and they never said anything back to him because I obviously live rent free in some of their heads.

I don’t know who that leaves you with. Who would you like to see in charge?

I'll get back to you on that at the end of the season because after 26 months so far, it doesn't look like this manager knows how to get us to play a proper style of football.

Can we stop with this 'Pro-Ole' nonsense?

The people who are supposedly "Pro-Ole" are those who have been able to see improvement in results, recruitment and performances since he took over. Then be prepared to give him more time and a chance to continue that upward trajectory based on that assessment. Nobody is disputing that we have issues at the back, or that Ole gets it wrong tactically from time to time.

Its largely the same bunch who were prepared to give Jose more time when we finished 2nd under him. To see if we can continue to improve. People only turned on him in droves when the wheels came off.

Have to disagree there, Jose was doomed from day one from a lot of the same posters on this thread that peddled out the same issues we are seeing under Ole and constantly vilified him for it.

Some people weren't happy with Mourinho's appointment, because of his style of football and his tendency to capitulate in his 3rd season.

The same people were also prepared to give him a chance to see if he could alter his methods which suited United's style of play. Since he had spoken highly of United in his career beforehand. People were still prepared to give him more time after he finished 2nd.

I literally said that on this thread, I've never been a fan of throwing a manager out mid season unless we were hovering outside the top 4 for a huge part of the season. Fortunately for Ole, being 2nd has given him enough ammo to stay put for now.

Nah I'm not a fairweather supporter like some of the plastics on here who scream being 2nd is worthy enough to not critique this bloke but it's okay to critique the bloke before him.

Sorry Vida, if I was sad enough to bookmark there was a huge amount of posters here on Jose's back even in his second season stating the lack of tempo and how much we were relying on De Gea to bail us out.

It is debatable that Leicester do as well. They have scored 9 less and have a far superior #9 than we do..

Goals and quality of football aren't the same thing. Teams with better players are likely to score more, but that doesn't mean the football is great. Didn't Jose break the goal scoring record at Real? His Chelsea side scored a lot too, but no one ever accused him of playing entertaining football.

I don't particularly disagree with your broader point really. What I would say is that because you're getting a bit emotional about it other people will respond in kind.

I think we'd all like to see a United team do the basics well and play better on a more consistent basis. I know I would. I'm not Ole Out and I'm supportive of him as long as we're moving forward. I do think we're doing that but it's also possibly a bit too slow for my liking especially when some of the same mistakes are repeated too often.
