There’s plenty of things to be critical of the manage for, same as there’s plenty of things you can praise him for
The trick is to look at things with a level head
When you see things like “best team lost” and suchlike after a hard fought but thoroughly deserved win then it looks a bit desperate
Ole just said we need to up the tempo in the post match interview, he’s said this in nearly every one this season. Thoughts?

Jose's style differs greatly from how we play now. Games every 3 games every 8 days non stop, will lead to strange results due to fatigue.... look at home awesome the championship is... for this reason.. it is a war of attrition and we are second on merit, nothing more, nothing less!

I think this is overstated a little, we had probably 5 or 6 good performances and then dropped off quite quickly. This season saw us start terribly but then pick up results without playing great but with some very nice moments here and there. Even if the football hasn't been the best (most of the time) it's impressive how we are picking up points.

Doesn’t say it all though, does it, because with Pogba, McT and Cavani out, having out-shot the opposition, having played nearly three times as many passes, having had 3/4 of the possession, we won the game fairly comfortably in the end and are second in the league.

Up till the 80th minute of the game Newcastle had more shots on target than us Earl. They looked a better coached side than us. Says it all.

Doesn’t say it all though, does it, because with Pogba, McT and Cavani out, having out-shot the opposition, having played nearly three times as many passes, having had 3/4 of the possession, we won the game fairly comfortably in the end and are second in the league.

No one can point to anything on the pitch as being well coached.

Football is a results game first and foremost.. despite what you think.
At the minute we are second, and above what many expected.
It's much easier to change the way you are playing when results are going your way than vice versa

We can... but some games things do not go to plan.. players have off games.. it happens.
Newcastle have also played a lot less games than us this season... a season where games are being crammed in at a crazy rate
