There was a stage where i started coming around to him, but now I loathe him.
It wouldn't be so bad if we actually played well and lost I could take that, the fact is his finished he knows it so does everyone else.

The thing is, it's so frustrating too. We had such a positive start to the season playing some scintillating stuff and had confidence running high.
One bad result, (well terrible result) surrendering a 3-0 lead and our entire style changed and everything appeared more negative.
Even the Newcastle game we should have won at a canter.

Problem is, Jose doesn't know how to set us up now, and when the manager is unsure of that after this amount of time, don't see how he can stay.

As I said in another post earlier, the performances have been a little bit improved in recent games, in terms of an attacking capacity, and more like that of earlier in the season. It's only slightly encouraging. Sadly the defence is possibly the worst it has ever been.

I personally thought we played very well and another day the two chances were the ball hit the post could have gone our way and it would have been a different story. We had at least 20 shots on target, and 60 something % possession against a side that plays 1 game a week
spurs have played more games this season than any other side in Europe.
All said and done the team played well from 60th min onwards.
Except the CBs. Why Jose persists with that combi in Cb is his mistake. Unacceptable to trust Dier to be a CB and pair him up with Sanchez.
Thought Bale had a great game. Almost scored goal of the season too.
But that CB combo is Jose's decision and he should take the full responsibility for the defeat, which is due to 2 stupid defensive errors.

It's actually quite unbelievable how bad a manager he is now. 10 years ago he was the best around. I appreciate time moves on but to go from that to the complete shambles he is now is quite something.

His narcissism is probably the main factor in his down fall. Never able to accept and address where he goes wrong.

Never wanted him, but I assumed that he would at least bring some tactical nouse and a tougher mentality.

He’s delivered neither.

To dare is to don’t.

Agreed, we were a tad unfortunate. Bossed the game in the second half pretty much, and had that shot from Bale gone in to level it up it could have been a different story and would have left us feeling more positive.

Bale looking more like his old self was a highlight.

Yeah, so not all doom and gloom. West Ham got away with one today. But it was our fault.
Playing Dier and Sanchez is a crime and a schoolboy error from a manager like Jose.
Also, until Bale started to turn it on, we didn't show any appetite for the game.

I think Bale and Reggie will save our season. I know Rodon had family issues today, but he is the one to replace Dier for now.

Not thinking of top 4. Just the cups..

I wouldn't be surprised to hear Kane and or PEH are nursing some injury. Neither looked up for it and provided some good interchange but only after Bale got involved.
Reggie was amazing for a player who missed a few games. Straight away taking the bull by the horn, going into their defense and linking up with the front players. He was clearly fouled by Soucek in the build up to their goal, but that ref would have never given us anything that was obvious from the start.
It was amazing to watch Bale turn it on. With further games under his belt, I feel confident for the Carabao Cup final now. Unfortunately, Lloris, Dier, Toby and Sanchez need to go and replaced in the summer.

Post-game interview shows Jose as a beaten man. He didn't even complian about the officiating???

Looks like he wants to get away from Spurs ASAP!

Really disappointed, I like Mourinho and I think the league would be better with a top level Jose still around but alas his time is done.

My fear is that I wouldn't be surprised if he managed Wolves one day.

We had 4 shots on target, the first of which came after half an hour.

Over 20 shots against 4 for West Ham? 69% possession? The 4 shots on target is because the opposition defended with 10 players behind the ball with clearing off the line and putting bodies to stop shots?
I am sure you watched the game and we did very well. True like I said it only started after an hour of the game starting!
The attacking side wasn’t the issue. It’s the bloody big wide gap at the back where Dier stood was! Letting the ball go across him for anyone to poke the ball in, is a school boy error?
The guy looks out of his depth and the blind faith in him is costing the team the points. This is why we did so well when we played with midfield very deep to protect the frailties at the back. Football was turgid, but the midfield players protected the inadequate CBs
We conceded less and won more against good sides.

Spurs. had 69% possession and 4 times as many shots, so what?

WHU had 2 times the number of goals that Spurs had, a very, very, very, very important game statistic!

There seems to be a lot of focus given to the defense and poor individual mistakes made but this is an interesting league stat.

Since the West Ham 3-3 collapse, we have not lost or even drawn a league game where we have scored 2 or more goals. (this points to be too cautious)

In fact that 3-3 game is the only league game we have drawn/lost by scoring more than 1 goal.

If you take the 5-4 fa cup defeat as an example. That is an example of the defense letting the team and manager down.

Now I know you can't go scoring 2 plus goals in every game but what does that say about our attack? They make individual mistakes which results in not scoring and there is not as much criticism.

Then you look at the players we have in the squad when it comes to attacking and think what does that say about the manager?

Before the West Ham 3-3 when we went a goal down we went for it and won 5-2 and 6-1 (Southampton and Man Utd). Since then we have never recovered any kind of final result in any league game we have gone behind in.

Even some of the wins we have had scoring less than 2 have been late (Burnley & West Brom away)
