NO.
Vaccine is not 100% effective.
You will still need to wear a mask in company.
The virus has changed the world for ever.

And remember.....you can become an asymptomatic spreader of the bug.
And the fact that you don't feel sick does not mean the virus isn't eating whatever brain you have.
Nobody knows yet what it does or can do.

Working from home will become the new normal for a lot of people! Myself, I have saved £5.5k on a season ticket by not commuting and the office I was working at as not renewed it’s lease so the company has probably saved a ton of money too.

What I do hope continues is the mask wearing, especially in winter. Flu rates have dropped dramatically because of it

I think socially we'll see a big rebound in everyone wanting to go to restaurants and cinemas and pubs. Work-wise if you were just sitting in an office for 8 hours a day there's no reason to go back. Certainly not full time. The pandemic has accelerated change that was inevitable.

Not saying this will or won't happen with Covid 19 but to clear something up. Vaccines don't need 100% effectiveness to wipe out a virus, feel like that is a dangerous train of thought to go down.

Historically viruses have been wiped out due to successfull vaccination programs.

I think we've seen the beginning of the end for office working and probably mid range retail too.

Imo the new normal will be all office workers working from home if they can.

Mask will still be worn in transport and shops. Office buildings will be turned into flats.

Smaller gatherings will be the norm, until someone in China eats a dodgy badger or skunk and Covid 20 evolves and we go again.

Yeah thank fack. Why do we need to be crammed into a pen with people we don't like, just to do work we can do in the peaceful environment of our homes? Bloody people.

Some interesting thoughts...

I definitely enjoyed working from home, and my productivity has gone up. I hope that we never see an office or have to go to one!
I have also enjoyed the less traffic on the roads, but hey I know that this will go back to being busier.
I Have found wearing masks in shops a good thing. Just feels more safer as we humans, do carry all sorts of bacteria with us. In Japan, some folks wear it all the time when they are out. Maybe this will be the case here too.
have noticed that behaviour in public has improved and have seen folks say hello to each other and are more willing to help. Maybe it's just me?

Lots of people I know prefer online food shopping, and they hardly go to stores.

Online shopping, entertainments and working has become the "norm".

I worry about that. Its going to be a massive exile to holiday spots but I think staycation will be the "Norm" for couple of years for Brits.

Well, older folks surely?

The young gen will probably start travelling as soon as they can.
Though they'll get a shock when they will have to have visas if they went to some places when they didn't need one prior to the pandemic!

Apparently this pandemic has had a marvellous effect on the climate. Less fuel consumptions and less cars on the road has done wonders to the nature.

Bloody marvellous!

Wfh will be the best thing to come out of the pandemic.

The unnecessary expense (both time and money) of commuting will be far lower. Great for people, companies and the environment.

London should be a bit quieter, which will make it a lot more pleasant.

I did a presentation on this pre covid how people will be able to work from anywhere in the near future and how this may put pressure on the nicest locations in the country. Wasn't expecting it to be accelerated this quickly.

I had some dodgy skunk once. Never felt right for weeks after.

Though I think some companies will adapt a 2/3 days a week split, where 2 days in the office and 3 at home.

That's the preposition I hear quite a lot, specially as I as recently going through some interviews with various companies and asked them about their plans for going to office post-covid!
