Cheaper to get rid of a manager than a whole squad or underperforming players. That’s the be all and end all unfortunately

Any successful team/club has player power to vsrious degrees.

Also all managers aren't angels, like every profession some would be nasty bully's and no human let alone player worth his salt would just sit there and take it.

Player contracts ideally need to be more performance related with a smaller basic.

Too many can be disruptive or harmful and be happy to sit on the bench and take their massive wages home regardless of attitude and performance.

A lot of it comes down to characters and attitudes of the players, staff and managers. It's not just managers, but staff as well, it's all about what they do in the background that fans don't get to see.

This is a topic where I don't agree with Roy Keane where he once grunted at the fact that Pogba needed to be "loved". I don't think he understood that Micah Richards was saying that he can't just be shut out and he can't just sit at home, look at his phone to undoubtedly hundreds of comments/messages calling him every name under the sun. It is bound to have an effect on players, for example.

Players have power, but players will never run a dressing room or run a club. When that happens a manager gets sacked. I don't think that is any more apparent than it was 15 years ago, but just more widely known through the media's influence.

In 2011 , Carlos Tevez refused to come off the bench in a CL game at Bayern Munich. Mancini , the Manager said he refused to play, Tevez said he refused to warm up.
The rest of the bench were non committal.
Mancini said Tevez would never play for the Club again.
Tevez disappeared on a golfing holiday. Eventually, Tevez came back and Mancini was forced to pick him. Tevez completely undermined the Manager and he lost the dressing room. The following season there were many rumours of dressing room disharmony which resulted in Mancini being sacked.
Clearly player power won the day.
For my part , I never applauded Tevez after that as he disrespected the club, albeit i never booed him either.
There aren't too many things that our owners have got wrong but I think that was one of them

I’m with tevez on that one though. I find it ridiculous when managers ask players to come on for a minute
