It's not ideal. The 2 legs are sandwiched between games against City, West Ham and a cup match against Leicester.

I wanted to play Milan at some point but would've preferred to kick the can a bit further down the road when we knew how seriously we had to take the competition. The next few weeks could well put us right back in the middle of a top 4 race.

I like these kind of draws tbh. It will feel like a CL game almost. I look forward to watching United play, and I'd rather watch us play AC Milan than Granada or Young Boys.

If we go out then so be it, we should be finishing top 4 anyway, if we get through then that's one of the better sides already seen to and maybe we'll get luckier in the next round.

Spurs getting all the luck in this years Ropey it seems

Hope Rangers knock out the side that beat Leicester, I want us to play Rangers at some point.

Roma vs Shaktar gets rid of one of the better sides left too

I like it. Getting through to a European competition should be about a bit of glamour, somewhere nice to go, when allowed. Also seeing where we stand against good teams.
Not playing some club we have barely heard of.

Probably a tougher opponent than who City played the other night in the CL. What a suprise.

Are you suggesting that random cup draws across multiple competitions administered by different organisations are subject to interference controlled by a giant anti-United conspiracy? Is that the same shadowy group that arranged conditions so that South American players at United either flopped, or performed well but then left, or only performed okay, or suffered from injury problems?

This. The EL isn't a badge of prestige that we're desperate to wear. So let's enjoy the ride for as long as it lasts, and pretend that this Milan tie provides some of the glamour of the European nights against the far superior 1990s-2000s sides.

Nope there's no agenda or fixing. We just have awful luck in cup draws. It's been brutal for Ole in fairness.

If we got into the last 16 of the CL and drew AC Milan we would all be delighted.

There's probably only 3 sides we'd have been able to field a 'weaker' team against and be comfortable anyway if that's peoples thoughts with it being between the West Ham/City games etc. Any of Roma, Milan, Arsenal, Spurs, Shakhtar, Ajax and we'd still ahve had to play Bruno (like Ole would drop him anyway) and the first team if we wanted to progress.

I agree and if we go out then I'd rather go out now and crack on with the competitions we have left than get a dead rubber tie or two and then go out in the semi final. It just adds pointless games and its hard to get excited for games against the likes of young boys, Astana etc.

Should be a good game and if we end up getting to the final then at least it will have been an interesting tournament.

The year we won it under Jose was the least memorable cup run and win for me, played garbage football and played against garbage opponents most rounds.

Ties like this are at least something to look forward to.

I know little about how good they are tbf, just that they're above Juve. If we play badly against most of the sides left in the Europa we'd go out anyway.
