Well what he said matters. Your exceptional record was perfectly in place for a long time whilst no having fans.
Not having fans isn’t the factor that changed so it is irrelevant.
Also I think people took issue with the claim that it affects Liverpool more than most clubs. It’s completely unquantifiable, arrogant to try to claim and still completely irrelevant due to point 1.
Any possible difference is so negligible that it’s akin to Klopp mentioning the wind. It’s just daft and right to be ridiculed.
Other things have changed, fans being in the stadium is not one of them.
———————————-
Claiming having no fans as irrelevant is utterly ridiculous. You can argue the extent of the effect, but to dismiss it entirely is mad.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It can be irrelevant and still have some minuscule difference. A mosquito can bite me but it’s pretty irrelevant to my life.
To continue with the analogy: it’s like having an open head wound, a punctured lung, a broken leg and a mosquito bite. And your suffering in pain and discomfort and after mentioning the first few items for weeks you then start talking about the mosquito bite. That is utterly ridiculous. Not to mention that everyone gets mosquito bites.
Stick to repeating the genuine causes and hold your hands up that the team and the manager are responsible for these losses as I’m sure most Liverpool fans have done. Switching to talking about fans when it’s the same for everyone is just daft mate.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
No one’s denying the other causes. It’s Feckin bizarre how you’re making such a big deal over someone adding a lack of fans as just another contributing factor. It’s not even controversial. Fans make a difference to most teams, i doubt anyone can argue with that. All that’s being suggested is that with our unprecedented injuries it’s maybe affected our players more than those teams that haven’t been hit with anywhere near our injury list. Now you can argue that it shouldn’t affect them and I’d agree, they should be able to cope with it. But to keep stating that it can’t possibly be the case and anyone who thinks so is arrogant, is beyond arrogant itself.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Some serious mental gymnastics going on here mate.
Each to their own but only a couple of you are in agreement, some Liverpool fans have disagreed and pretty much every non-Liverpool fan disagrees.
It’s a mosquito bite on top of a broken arm, it’s not worth mentioning as some sort of extra to Liverpool.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I agree with this and that metaphor is a good one. But then lots of rival fans also laugh and claim "excuses" when we mention our broken arm.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
They do indeed but they’re being daft. The sheer concentration of the injuries being CBCBCBC CBCB is ridiculous and that is the biggest cause, the other causes followed suit leading to where you are now where it’s a confidence/pressure thing.
this is closest to the truth in the season when chelsea were tenth after winning the league all our injuries were at center back positions and were playing with obi mikkel and Paulo Ferraira as center backs.
Missing fans is irrelevant as its the same for every team. Last season pool were extremely lucky with injuries but not this year. The premier leagues is usually decided on small marginal differences.
