Wasn’t this the physio that worked for Arsenal for years?

They regularly had the worst injury list in the prem. Now he’s gone they have won of the best and Liverpool have one of the worst.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Such a bizarre signing. Our injury record was very good until he joined. Now it’s a catastrophe.

He is the Harold Shipman of football

Didn’t realise he worked for you for ten years before.

Exactly. When our physio rating decreased from 20 to 18, we started picking up loads of injuries. It's not rocket science. We need a physio who can heal our players instantly with their high rating so they don't miss games.

On another note, Chris Morgan is one of the most highly rated physios in the country.

He was at Liverpool for a decade, Arsenal for two years.

This is on par with the imbeciles blaming our goalkeeping coach, one of the few coaches Klopp kept, who he has raved about, for Mignolet and Karius being rubbish and yet when Alisson came and was excellent it was in spite of him.

You'd almost think that staff don't have complete control over a players' ability and injuries. Crazy thought, I know.

Yeah I read after he’d been with you before. The head of the physio department would obviously have some impact on what’s happening at the club with injuries - whether good or bad - but it’s likely a coincidence given Arsenal had injury problems long before he went there, and Liverpool’s problems are more down to Klopp running the team into the ground for years.

What sort of impact would you think they would have? Take say VVD, Gomez, Matip and Henderson being out for the season as a starting point. Would he have healed them quicker, gave them more protective clothing preventing the injury or...?

Honestly people ffs.

The physio department will have an impact on recovery and prevention. Unless you think that they have no impact whatsoever, in which case their job is kind of pointless.

posted on 5/3/21

Also Liverpool's injury problems aren't due to running the team into the ground at all. They're centred around centre back ffs. What centre back is running himself into the ground?

Then we have the players who normally pick up injuries anyhow like Keita, Ox, Fabinho and Henderson. The ones that only pick up the odd injury, like Robertson, TAA, Wijnaldum, Salah, Mane and Firmino have continued in that vain despite players having to play more games in a short period with the more congested fixture list and injuries to potential replacements for them to give them a rest.

No their job is not pointless, it's just that you don't appear to know what physios actually do.

So what do you think they could have done with VVD, Gomez, Matip and Henderson, who are out for the season? A massage perhaps?

But did you prevent injuries? That's the big question.

Maybe it’s a scouting issue then, scouting injury prone players

Or it could be a combination of Bad scouting, poor physios, manager running the players into the ground and no fans in the stadium

The point was they have an impact on recovery and prevention. Whether they’re doing that well or not is another matter.

Or in one season, we had more injuries than normal, centred around the one position, meaning players from other positions had to move in there and players covering the players who had to move in had to play nearly every game without rest.

Some might call it bad luck, especially when the one with the biggest impact was caused by a red card challenge with no punishment for the player who caused it.

We can keep trying to find ulterior motives or just accept we've had an unprecedented season with injuries, they'll try to get through it as best as they can but understand players have to play more than normal due to injuries to others and therefore potential for more injuries and go again when players are back.

There was no scouting issue for the past three years, when we were outstanding, no poor physios and no manager running the players into the ground. It's amazing the amount of ulterior motives that pop up when there has been a drop in quality when you have loads of players injured.

Anything else?

You didn't answer the question.

Anyway, they have a very small impact, in those regards. They can't stop Pickford injuring VVD and they will have a very small impact in his recovery time. This will depend on a successful operation, which the physios obviously don't do and the correct training schedule, which begins light and gradually increases.

You don't know what a physio does.

You didn't mention the Brain, the former assistant who when he left it all fell apart, when we went on to win some trophies. That's worth a go I suppose.

Wasn’t really relevant, I’ve never suggested they’re having this kind of impact. But carry on if you like.

Possibly yes, also Salah clearly wants out, that won’t help matters

Robertson fighting with, sorry biting Alisson's ankles, must have an impact.

He has been extremely poor with his shooting all season. His finishing was never up there with the top strikers but he put himself up there with everything else he did for the team but this season his finishing has been shocking and in some games he hasn't done the things he's unique for. A poor season for him thus far. Having only Origi as backup has finally come back to haunt us.

He's a bit like the Fabregas we had in his last season...can unlock a defence with a touch...but seriously goes missing
