Agree, from our first game against mighty Aston Villa it was apparent something fundamentally had changed, and so likewise with the rest of the season.
Injuries have played a part, all teams have them.
The stark nature of our meteoric decline in performance is tinged by the reality at least some of it was being predicted last season when the questions about for how long could a small team continue to deliver the very high tempo game and continue to be very fortunate in avoiding key injuries.
The club was silent in its response. The outcome was then almost inevitable.

Totally agree, take our ball back off these nasty bully boys and go home for tea, we’re not playing anymore.

While mathematically top four is possible, twelve games to go, in reality it’s not going to happen. Even a top six slot is in danger. I strongly suspect we will lose to Fulham on Sunday, not on the basis of me being defeatist at all, far from it. Fulham are a good side, headed in the right direction, no doubt Ademola Lookman will continue to skin TAA each and every time as he did when playing for Everton.
Our team looks exhausted, both physically and mentally. As Andrew R said after the last defeat, a goal goes in, and heads drop. Ronnie Welan took the view that some players acted as if they didn’t want the ball. He may be right. I will support my team through thick and thin, celebrate the good times, take the hits when they come, all in good positive spirit, but the end of the season can’t come quick enough for me.
Who could have realistically predicted the free fall we’ve been in for the past months? Easy to be wise after the event, isn’t it?
Our team is dire to watch at present. But that won’t stop me supporting them.
Don’t like this whole give up on this season thing. The mentality and belief for next season is at risk here. Go another 5 games at home of loses, then where do we go from there. Keep up this form then we get even more fans and pundits questioning Klopp and the players. We need to protect the clubs image, plus the ego of the manager and players.

All players get injured. The differentiation is recovery time. Prior to his return to Anfield Chris Morgan was at Arsenal where they saw the same liturgy of long term injuries / slow recoveries. Since he left Arsenal this has all but recovered, we now have those same issues.
If you have a rich smorgasbord of talent in your squad you can cope with longer term injuries, but we are not in that position. The need for a quick scavenge with Preston and a try before you buy player from a club with the worst defensive record in the Bundesliga suggested we realised we are unable to cope with long injury recovery timescales, but way too late.
The combination of paper thin squad in terms of exceptional talent and a clueless physio team is our perfect storm.

The irony being the predominant trend on this forum now and on the BBC hosted predecessor was for supporters to register their frustrations with team performance, ownership and direction.
Perhaps it’s the cathartic effect.

Ah, well, opinions can matter sometimes, but clearly not in this case. That said, feel free to interject with more of your vacuous comments the next time I post. 👍
“From our first game against the mighty Aston villa”
- villa was our fourth match
We play every team twice, hence saying first game
- we’ve only played villa once
L40 with, “blah blah blah” in an attempt to backtrack.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Not that you would know first hand not being a fan and all, Villa was our 4th match.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
There are two games against each team, per season. This was our FIRST against Villa.
Apart from misreading my opening sentence it’s notable you have little in the way of a coherent response to the rest of it.
Free who ? 🙄
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Considering we haven't played the return game yet, there would have been no need to stress it was the first game against them.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The inability to formulate a position or argument on the relevant and salient points of a discussion and instead focus on minutiae of detail to the extent you achieve actually very little.
Often why some things are destined never to be free.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The inability to post on a forum unless your team is losing or performing badly also achieves very little.

The irony being the predominant trend on this forum now and on the BBC hosted predecessor was for supporters to register their frustrations with team performance, ownership and direction.
Perhaps it’s the cathartic effect.

Again a fan would know how many times we’d played villa. A clever wum would have looked it up.
L40 is neither.

Fack off you mess.
