Would hardly be a surprise. It’s the sort of daft decision this club have become experts at.

Are you Ole out then?

Yes.

Not so. A lot of United fans on here are still undecided on Ole. I am not a great fan of his management myself.

I, like most, don’t whine about it every time we don’t win.

Your fans were in the same boat before Klopp won the CL.

No problem with him getting a new deal if it’s deserved but it shouldn’t be considered until top 4 is at least mathematically sealed.

I'm not Ole In or Ole Out. I'm in the Ole Do Better camp which I'm certain everyone would want to be in.

I would expect to see us finish top four before Ole is given anything further, I find him hard to judge sometimes I’m convinced other times it all looks tactically very amateur and I don’t believe any of the top teams in Europe would be in to take him off us, he has no pedigree to manage us at all except for previously being our super sub.

Top 4 I think he deserves another season but another contract now and 9 million a year ( just let that sink in) does seem the typical dumb decision our board makes these days, our manager has not won anything yet I would hope a bit of silver wear along with top 4 would be a pre condition for any new contract but Ed knows best.

It would be incredible if he gets a new contract without having won a trophy nor implementing a pleasing style of football. Standards would have dropped.

Standards would have stayed the same because we did it with Jose.

You are partly right though as this should not be done until seasons end. There is no need.

Also I wouldn’t give any manager a long term contract as there is no need to what so ever. Two years is ample.

I think he should get a 6 year contract like the chosen one did
----------------------------------------------------------------------

You must like losing the Derby then?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I imagine he won't mind losing a battle in return for one less threat in the war!

we should have beaten Sheffield at home. That was just lack of bottle.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

It is nothing to do with bottle. It is to do with shocking defending and pi$& poor attacking.

No. We usually disagree on things you clown. He thinks it is personal. It isn’t because when we agree on something I will say so. Like in this instance.

Well no, as Jose won two trophies in his first season. I agree with the rest of your comment.

How is potter playing this sort of football. Imagine if he better players.

With Jose though you had to balance the first season with what every man and his dog knew would happen come the third one.

There was wishful hope that Jose would change (even from me) once he got what United were but he couldn’t help himself.

I don't see this improvement under Ole.

We've crashed out of the Champions League, failed in many a semi final and we wouldn't be anywhere near 2nd if Liverpool didn't collapse.

We've had some shockers this season (palace, spurs, istanbul, sheffield utd, west brom and many more).

We also play crap football, sure the goals are being scored but in the big games against better defences we are cowardly and pathetic barring the odd game.

Then you look at signings like Maguire + AWB who hold us back and VDB for who he doesn't have a plan and you can see he isn't a transfer window genius.

Don't get me wrong, I don't want him sacked and he's better than the toxicity that Jose brought in but we haven't progressed enough. He's had a lot to spend so the improvement could be attributed to that.

You have to ask the question, will we compete for the title next year or even get close? Personally I can't see it. That could be 3 and a half years and we're bumbling around still.

Ole talks a good game, but I'd wait till the end of the season. His squad management is poor and he has a habbit of running players in to the ground so let's see if it's another limp finish over the line or not.

If he was doing better with $hite players you might have some kind of point. Which would be a first for you.

It is gradual. We didn’t see improvement from SAF for around four years.

You started off by saying we crashed out of the CL. That in itself was an improvement because we were not in it the previous season.

Similarly, Ole could succeed at Utd if he gets a better assistant. But will he also be too stubborn?

There’s just no need, Ole isn’t leaving Utd for anybody. Let his contract run down and review in 12 months.

I’m all for keeping him long term, as things stand, but there’s no pressing need to renew right now.

If he deserves a pay rise, give him one under the existing contract length.

There is no need to give him anything long term. You even explained why.

His assistant isn’t the one picking the team or setting the tactics.

I bet you think he is.

I don’t think Potter is good enough to manage Utd, but neither is Ole, however if Ole was in charge of Brighton with the players they have, chances are they would have been relegated a long time ago.
