One of the best organised defensive teams in the league park the bus.....we should beat them 4 or 5 nil or it’s a crap performance
Luke Shaw vs West Ham:
91% pass accuracy
40 final third passes
9 ball recoveries
3/3 tackles won
2 chances created
1 interception
1 block
Such a solid player
Happy with that considering the players we have available.

We are not even that defensive. We are just poor at breaking down the deep defence teams.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Because we are sheite at passing and controlling the ball in key areas
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Like to see our passing completion rate today
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Irrelevant stat.
Slow passing doesn't break down tough defences.
Does anyone know why we didn't sit back and counter attack?
There isn’t a massive difference between our performances now and under Mourinho generally. The highs are just higher.
Tbf, this was one of those games where you take the win and move on. We were pretty comfortable for most of the game, and better finishing could have killed it off.
Performances like this aren’t that bad in isolation. It’s the regularity with which we have them - though we usually aren’t as comfortable as we were today when we play like this, but West Ham were absolutely pathetic and cowardly.

Teams park the bus almost every game we play at home. And yet we’ve still not worked out how to deal with it. Perhaps playing every 3-4 days means we don’t get enough time in training to work on it?

I thought Bruno was pretty exceptional in the first half tbh. Not so much after half time, granted
We need at least one proper winger to attack with intent. It would give us width and pace.
Not much to complain about, if I had to nitpick, just wish AWB would take a bit more care with his passing instead of firing into his teammates constantly

There is nothing wrong with being objective. Tune in to skysports now, it is being said by all pundits we are not capable of breaking down teams that sit. If you paid to go into OT today, would you say you enjoyed that? We watch football for enjoyment, that today was not enjoyable. Happy we won. Top 4 looks confirmed.

If we had a fully fit 1st team and played like that I'd say you have every right schola to be critical. Today was about making sure we won, no injuries and move on. The only critique would be that James wasn't subbed.
The constant moaners need to go do something else for 1,2 or 3 years or however long Ole is in charge.
Just the same old nonsense every game. Pep Guardiola wouldn't win the league with this team. It's just not that great.
We've got to stop pretending it is just because we all want another league title. This squad is never going to win a league title. It's not good enough.
Happily have given Amad 20 mins to show us a bit more.

Well we hit the post twice and are the second highest scoring and placed team in the league. It isn't Football Manager where you keep tweaking the sliders until you crack the combination that beats the algorithm. West Ham are no mugs at all, they sit fifth in the table and are a good group of players. They are well drilled to play like that and games can come down to fine margins. We weren't far away from winning 3/4-0 and despite the game playing out exactly the same, you would see a drastic change in narrative, for the most part.
We played well, not spectacularly, against a very good team who have only had 5 other teams in the league concede less goals than they have.
