I always questioned his mentality to win the majors. For me he never seemed as psychologically strong as say Woods etc.

Nothing really to base it on was just my opinion. Golf is 50% psychology these days

I cant wait to get back on the course

Sorry Edin not trying to hijack the thread mate.

Phenom/GT you watch the players? Thomas was imperious the weekend, he played it in -12. Absolutely outstanding

Garcia only winning one major is criminal. Best iron player of his generation, but has never been able to putt. He's found his best putting technique is to literally close his eyes and hope for the best

Some good news from Ali G

At least some positive news after that woeful weekend for Spurs. Understand that Son Heung-min's injury is not as bad as first feared. Could be back for the Newcastle match after the international break and potentially even for this Sunday evening's game at Villa.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

That is good. International break has come at a handy time. Just need to hope we have enough for Villa, but we don’t do well against top 10 sides
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Our whole game plan will be on how to stop Grealish(if he is fit).

No using family tragedies to point-score.

Yeah, that was just low from someone moaning bout being bullied. He can fack off after that thread. Totally lost any remaining respect I had for him.

Yup still the only side to have beaten the current top two. Pretty decent.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You beat them when they hadn't found their form yet

Its like bragging about banging Keely Shaye Smith after she gained 70 pounds

Using golf is a decent analogy , where you shout "FORE" , when there is a balls up.

Thoughts on using personal tragedies for your own manipulative agenda?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Where did I use a personal tragedy for my own agenda? Stop making things up. I posted that PSG under Poch lost at home again. Then you lot tried to make out I was point scoring over a personal tragedy that I knew nothing about, and still know nothing about.

Big mid table clash coming up Villa v Spurs. Hello 1990's welcome back to the party.

That is very damning I have to say. Does that mean we haven't beaten any team that were above us at the time?

How on earth are we going to win anything when we can't beat any decent teams (either established or just based on their form)?

Yeah and you're a large part of that.

I'm concerned there's a serious problem ingrained in the mentality of the players. Yeah no doubt this reflects badly on Jose. But it's hardly a new phenomenon. Poch's record against the top 6 was awful. Our record in big cup games speaks for itself. I don't know what the answer is.

Likely it's bad management in big games. But it could be the ability and mentality of the players we have. Our just a coincidence of stats.

Our supporters have short memories. They think Poch won every big game he played.

Not true. We are well aware that we came undone against big teams under Poch. I think people are more disappointed because the one thing you want Jose to improve upon over Poch is the mentality in the big games and against bigger and better teams, and that simply so far hasn't happened, except for the brief period earlier in the season.

we can come undone, its the fact we dont look like we have a plan and the players actually arent as up for it as the opposition

posted on 16/3/21

Agreed Spurtle. The winning mentality is the one thing I was really hopeful for under Jose. Doesn't look like it's happening in the league at least. Still, if he can pull it off in the cups maybe it'll be worth it.

Jose is screaming 'press' to the players which screams either two worrying things:

1. they're not actually coached or asked to press for the match
2. they don't listen to him

posted on 16/3/21

Or 3 They're mentally weak.

Admittedly this is on the coach to sort out, but there is the possibility it's endemic in key areas of the squad
