Wouldn;t be such a bad shout actually
I've actually grwon to rather rate Walcott, his finishing has improved alot and he;s starting to add consistency to his game. Pace in abundance as well, which no-one who has watched our sluggish performers could deny we painfully need (and it would take away a player who seesm to rather like scorign against us)
He's English and would help with the homegrown quota and can hardy be worse than either of the dreaded Kalouda (although being honest I struggle to think of anyone who would do much worse than these 2 )
If we could dump Kalou and get Walcott I'd be ecstatic
Theo Walcott worth a bid?
------------------------------------
No
Lacks 'footballing brain'
All pace no end product
Much like our very own Kalou as you have stated already OP
Since the start of last season Walcott averages a goal or assists every 88 minutes so he is hardly lacking end product.
Oh and NO
The above stat is completely false. Do you have a souce for that? I doubt it. You talking premier league or all competitions?
Walcott is a great athlete and good finisher, but lacks the movement and awareness to be a central striker and the vision and decision making to be a good winger. He is fast so can create problems but would be a bench option at best for us, certainly not a top player.
Like Cmf says, no footballing brain.
KDL all competitions and no it is not false.
source then?
You're saying that since the start of last season he has averaged a goal or assist every 88 minutes in all comps. Where is your source for this?
lies, lies and more nonsense. When you say worked it out, what you really mean is made it up.
No I didn't make it up. I worked it out.
worked it out from what? based on just the prem, since the start of last season his combined goals and assists only adds up to 18.
Unless you show the stats of minutes played in all comps, I;m sticking with completely made up, Which I am pretty positive about.
PL - 2089 mins, 10 goals, 9 assists
CL - 323 mins, 4 goals, 2 assist
CC - 216 mins 2 goals, 2 assist
FA Cup - 22 mins, 1 assist
Total - 2,650 mins, 16 goals, 14 assists
Goal or assist every 88 mins and 20 seconds
well your premier league stats are off by one straight away, so I'll expect the rest is equally inaccurate. Also, In Europe this season alone, Walcott has played more than half of those minutes. so how many matches are you basing this on him playing last season?
Would you like me to perhaps post every goal and assist he made in each individual match for you with a timer showing when entered and left the pitch in each match he has taken place in since last season?
What is wrong with the stats I have posted? I took the PL stats from the official website so I don't know quite what you are getting at? Theo only started 2 games in the CL last season and was subbed off in both
Braga away - 76 mins
Shakhtar at home - 22 mins
Shakhtar away - 82 mins
Partizan at home - 26 mins
Udinese at home - 90 +
Udinese at home - 90+
Dortmund - 76
That's me at 462 CL minutes and I've not even finished looking up matches.
Your stats are made up and ae complete lies.
Correction, Udinese at home and away not home and home obviously.
The goals/ assists may be ok, But the minutes are completely wrong.
Whatever the stats, theo doesn't have winning mentality and is not good enough for us. The only worthy persons there are rvp and wilshere
I'd maybe also take Sagna, not because he is good, but because he is better than Bosingwa.
The overall point is I wouldn't take Walcott like you say.
I just hate when people make up stats like that. happens all the time on forums and most people just believe them.
I was thinking of Walcott but he hasn't made a good start to the season. If we wanted a young Englsh replacement for Kalou Young would have done, or Johnson
KDL & Batmanu
Stop the bickering
And on topic, I would love to have Walcot at Chelsea. His movement, pace, direct style of play is something we totally lack.
This footballing brain myth really needs to stop.
We don't need Walcot, he is not outstanding, he is still work in progress and might remain so till he retires
