Echo that Greavsie. RIP Peter & Frank

Once saw Peter Lorimer play in goal for Leeds at the Bridge. TBF he wasn't bad between the sticks either.

Evening Genius, sadly a lot of that era are now passing away. Frank Worthington sane age as myself, so I am thankful to be in reasonably good health.

I would still take all the older generation of players over any of the modern players. Just something about them all that makes them more endearing to supporters.

The naughty boys of football in the 70's were the flair players that people wanted to watch. Frank, George Best, Stan Bowles, etc whose skills were beautiful to watch.
Unfortunately there were players who disgraced the game like Francis Lee who "fell over" every time he got into the penalty area, talented player who lost any respect because of his cheating mentality.
Who is in line for the next British genius? Kane and Bale are goal scorers but nowhere near the excitement and skilll level if the aforementioned three.

A bit before my time but have seem highlights of both players. A tragic loss for the beautiful game.

Well Francis Lee would fit right in now, given falling over is part of the game now. Utd even have training sessions on it.
