Yep, its been a pleasure being on the snooker threads this season. More than I usually do. A safe haven away from the numb-skulls on the United board.

By being ruthlessly consistent.
Since winning the World Championship in 2014 he's been in 21 finals. He's lost two of them.

How the hell do you prepare yourself for that?

Selby was the best player all tournament,
Can’t argue with his win here. Well done Selby.

Since he was beaten quite heavily so often by the likes of Judd, Higgins and especially Robbo recently, I thought he might struggle, but it didn’t happen.

This time last year Judd was still world champion for another 3 months! Ronnie wasn't even W/C for 9 months 😅

Cheers mate thanks to everyone for all the contributions. Shame it was Selby that won it lol but been plenty of good discussions and banter on here.

CASTOR, Federer is done as he's almost 39 in the most physical sport, Ronnie can easily get another Masters, UK, & World

I think this site started in 2011 when Higgins won his 4th World Title and so many posters here thought Ronnie was never gonna get more than 3 world titles.

I also never thought Williams would get a 3rd World Title or Higgins would reach 3 successive finals so until the younger generation completely take over, anything is possible.

Who are the younger generation? Can't name a handful of 20+s, a couple of chinese, Bintang, Lisowski, Wilson, Judd are all over 30

Yes younger generation in most sports have been very disappointing, therefore no records are safe. It’s a shame really as i always like to see younger generations taking over.

Can't see it yet, it is a shame that there isn't a young Hendry, or class of 92 coming through
