If you want a laugh Sandy stream Friday Night Dinner, this man makes the show single handedly.
This is sad
Loved him in FND, and brilliant in Chernobyl - actor with a great range.
Sad news

So sad when I saw this, great actor and FND won’t be the same without him.
I do hope they do 1 more series and kill him off by doing something stupid like eating rotten meat again etc as a tribute to him.

A lovely bit of squirrel perhaps.
I was under the impression another series had already been announced, but not sure if any of it had been filmed.
Absolutely no way they can do anything new without him, the show is nothing without Martin.
His with Uncle Saul now.
Uncle Saul died.
Oh, Saul was a wonderful man.
Everybody loved him. Hated him.
The thing is, he ate too much and in the end it killed him.
His rectummm seized up and his bowels imploded.

There’s a ten year special coming that’s already been filmed with him in it, can’t see them doing another series without him though.

His lucky meat
The 10th anniversary show already recorded is not an episode but a talking heads type show.
There were no plans to make another series.
My family love FND but I must admit, it has to be one of the worst programmes I've seen
That said, 54 is way too young
rip
Liked him in No Offence

Never seen Friday night dinner
Chernobyl was mesmerisingly brilliant...anyone who has not seen this really should take the time to do so
54? Sad really - never watched the program but RIP
Never liked FND but that’s sad news

For Feemales
Had never heard of FND until about two weeks ago and binge watched it over a week, thoroughly enjoyed it, bit too daft at times but his role was the funniest.
This has knocked me for six. I had no idea he was ill.
One of my favourite actors of the last decade. I love Friday Night Dinner - and he's the best thing about it - and he was superb in Chernobyl in a totally different role, playing a real nasty bit of work.
He was also terrific in No Offence on Channel 4. Gone well before his time, but leaves behind so many memories.
"Lovely bit of squirrel, Jackie!"
"Alright bambinos?"
"Any...you know...females?"
And, on the same day, Guardian writer and Spurs fan Sarah Hughes - the writer of the brilliant Guardian recaps on Line of Duty, amongst other things, loses her battle with cancer aged just 48.
What a rotter of a day.
And, of course, the legendary line, which could be used quite frequently when watching Spurs as it turns out, "S%%T ON IT!"
RIP.
