For me its a no brainer... PC is a 2012 Legend. Many of us demurred when the club picked Courtois over him. the reasoning being he was younger and had a longer sell by
I also think Petr sees his golden age as with Chelsea if his interviews are anything to go by.

I was wondering a player like cesc will be remembered for which club.

Sample answer. None!

Henry is definitely associated with Arsenal most

Fabregas has left a pretty memorable legacy with both Arsenal and Chelsea for different reasons. Maybe his impact on Arsenal is what he’ll be remembered best for in his time in the PL but Chelsea fans definitely appreciate his instant impact on a title win too. Even at Barce he spent what around 3-4 years there and changed his game slightly there, scoring a goal every 3-4 games.

Even someone like Ibra, even though he’s played for lots of different teams

Me thinks someone needs to read the article again...

He was really good for us, did everything, goals, assists, tackles etc. All this while the players around him were often quite average.

It was a shame he never quite hit those heights (in terms of performances) after he left Arsenal.

Don't think he will be remembered. All 3 clubs have had better players who have been more instrumental in winning their clubs things.
Only fans of a certain age (ie Arsenal fans unfortunate enough to be too young to remember 96-04, but old enough to remember at least part of 05-11) will be talking about him in 10 years.

Its pretty subjective, this.

But for me:

Cesc - Arsenal. Its where he was at his most influential.

Henry - Arsenal, no doubt.

R9 - Inter. Again, more of a personal opinion, but I used to love watching Football Italia on Channel 4 every Saturday morning specifically for him.

Zlatan - Don't know (or care that much)

Fabregas and Henry - Arsenal
Ronaldo - Inter
Ibrahimović - PSG

If the player has played for your own club, done well and made himself appreciated, that's probably the first association you'll make in most cases.

In my mind's eye, Cesc belongs in an Arsenal shirt. It's where he made his name and where imo he played by far his best football.

He also won a lot for Spain but is rarely remembered as as one of the key players in those sides, which is kinda funny because he probably featured in more of the big key moments than any other player and all in all earned over 100 caps for us.

I think one reason is that in this day and age we watch so much football from all over the place that few players are remembered above all for their international contributions in the way Pelé or to a slightly lesser extent Maradona are.

Henry, undoubtedly Arsenal, and France to an extent.

Ibra's Ibra-sized ego overshadows his association to any one club.

Ronaldo in my mind's eye wears a Madrid or Brazil shirt. The best I ever saw him play was in his single season for Barça, but perhaps it was too brief for the image to be tattooed on my brain, or maybe it's just because of what I said at the start of my post.

My guess is most United fans would sooner identify Cristiano Ronaldo with United than with Madrid.

For me Cesc played his absolute best career football at Arsenal from 2006-2010.

At Barca he wasn't really needed and didn't fit in... how do you break up Busquets, Xavi and Iniesta from a midfield 3??

With Chelsea he was also great but a tad more disciplined (dare I say Jose effect) and had less of his Arsenal 'wow' factor.

Remember the goal against Spurs in 2009 for Arsenal?? Wow wow wow.

Just my opinion

Cesc - Arsenal
Zlatan - Inter

Zlatan is actually a more interesting one to be fair. I would probably say Milan.

Still a quality CM, but by then I think he'd bulked up somewhat and slowed down.

He was never a sprinter, but when he was younger he had enough in him to drive forward and get past players. I don't think he had the same kind of energy by the time he joined Chelsea.

Fabregas not winning much at Arsenal doesn't mean he won't be remembered as much there. He established himself as one of the best central midfielders in the league at Arsenal, his productivity was probably highest at Arsenal and it's where he played his best football.

He won 2 league titles with Chelsea, and played his part in them, but I think Chelsea could have won those leagues without him in all honesty, especially the 2017 one.

I also think people will remember Fabregas in a bad light for the way he downed tools at Arsenal in 2010/11 towards the end and then his performances for Chelsea in 15/16 that led to Jose getting sacked. I also thought he looked a bit podgy around that time too.

Really odd that Cesc isn't remembered more for Spain. His winning penalty against Italy is agreed by virtually everyone in Spain to have been the watershed moment for the Spanish national team.

He then assisted twice in the semi against Russia, in what was arguably one of our best performances ever.

He came on as a sub to assist Iniesta's World Cup winning goal.

In 2012, he scored the winning penalty that took us into the final, and then assisted David Silva for the opening goal in the final.

That Barça midfield three is so iconic that its memory crowds out players like Çesc, Cazorla and Alonso, which if you think of as an independent midfield three would have been a sight to behold.

Yeah they had a stupidly good team. Even in the WC final they had Torres and Cesc on the bench! What a squad.

I wish Fabregas did more at Barca though.

Barça, Çesc and Pep all paid the price for signing Çesc a year too early and the latter's loyalty to Xavi.

He could and should've inherited Xavi's role, but the temptation to shoehorn them both into the same side proved too great.

It was also the season Xavi started to look physically exhausted and needed for his own sake to really slow Barça's game down.

Pep had a very special relationship with Xavi. If he'd been his usual ruthless self and transitioned to Çesc more quickly, I things could've been quite different, and better for Barça.

Kroos - Bayern
Ibra - AC Milan (not sure why)

Just a few from me.

It's not that difficult if you think about it.

Cesc & Henry - Arsenal
Ronaldo - Madrid
Zlatan - Milan

Lets throw a proper spanner in the works. Where will Cristiano be more remembered?

Ronaldo R9 was the greatest player I've ever seen at Barca and Inter Pre Injury.

Ronaldo R9 was still world class at Madrid and Brazil Post injury. Some of the goals he scored for Madrid players of today could only dream of.

I just see him in Brazil shirt to be fair. Happy in the knowledge my favourite ever player still can't and never will be replaced up front for Brazil. Too many pretenders, too many failures, to many 'the new Ronaldo' burdens.
