Yup, if Spurs played like PSG tonight, our fans would have been up in arms.
————-
Pretty sure that if spurs went to Bayern in the CL and won with 3 away goals the fans wouldn’t be ‘up in arms’ somehow. What an idiotic thing to say.
There’s a time and place for those sorts of tactics. Against the Bayern's and Man City’s of this world it’s a good strategy given that you aren’t gonna get much of the ball anyway if you try to match them in possession play. Jose played it perfectly against City earlier in the season, and if he did it again in the Cup final I’d have no complaints about those tactics even if we lost. You pick your battles.
Where the fans have been ‘up in arms’ is deploying those tactics in every single game, against relegation fodder who we should be out playing, making us predictable and easy to play against and causing us to live on the edge for too much of the season, throwing away points or games while being ugly to watch week in week out.
There’s an enormous difference and it’s no surprise to me this berk doesn’t comprehend it. Saw him write an article yesterday referencing a piece dated over a year ago as our plans for the 21/22 season, followed by some cringey back tracking.

Every time Poch wins, Sandy grits his teeth.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It shows the measure of Sandys lack of character and class as a man that not only was he the one calling most for Poch’s head (on here), but that he’s also actively willing him to be unsuccessful just to validate his miserable self. The guy is one of the most self absorbed liars and hypocrites going, not to mention one of the most clueless punters I’ve ever known - you’d think in 60 years of following Spurs he’d have learnt something about the game but he understands Jack Sheite.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I don't mind Sandy but his delusion is epic and the worst thing is he can't accept when it's wrong, he just forces himself to carry on his warped logic in the hope he eventually still gets proved right.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The guy is an absolute bell
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I can certainly see why people think that. I'm not easily offended and can take a lot so I guess at worst I just consider Sandy a kind of amusing clown.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I’m not easily offended in the least, and Sandy doesn’t offend me. I just agree with Deadknee - he’s an absolute bell. His behaviour on here for a good 18 months made this place insufferable, just on the wum writing 5 articles a day. His attitude to the whole Poch Jose thing shows a real lack of emotional intelligence and football knowledge. He constantly gives it Billy Big Bollox about us winning every honour going, then disappeared when it started going belly up. He came sniveling back playing the bullying card toward anyone who called him out on his shameless hypocrisy, he monopolises our board with his antics.
He has me on filter now because he can’t handle the heat of the home truths I’ve leveled at him, which means he won’t read it when I say he’s a cretinous clueless coffin dodging tw@t.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I only meant offended by his level of delusion rather than any personal insults.

There is no difference. That wasn`t a PSG masterclass, they were pinned back from minute one, and other than hoofs up field with long balls didn`t have a real answer. They got lucky that Bayern missed so many chances. Could easily have been a 7-2 score to equal the score Spurs lost by.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
I used to think he was a WUM, but he must have a personality disorder. I genuinely think he truly believes every word he types.
It’s definitely not a smash and grab. Bayern were the better team. but PSG stuck to their game plan, and could have had couple more goals if the finishing and decision making was bit more precise.
Marquinos hobbling off after 30mins was a big blow for PSG. They were dealing with crosses relatively easily up to that point
Smash and grab? They had key players missing in many positions last night, set up with a game plan and executed it very well. They more than deserved the win on the night. PSG look really solid in Europe, contrary to their middling league form.
It was very Mourinhoesque. Not that dissimilar from the when Spurs lost 7-2 in terms of performance, the difference was Bayern’s finishing.
