Rice has improved a lot
----------------------------------------------------------------------
yep. he is now brilliant, didnt get the hype last season when he was getting a lot of praise also, but now he is a certain starter at international level and one of if not the best player at a much improved west ham team.
Carrick tended to hold on to the ball for too long and would get caught out by teams that pressed.
We would need a modified version of Carrick in today's game.
Declan Rice could be a decent DLP, but he's no Andrea Pilau.
Fun Robb was later I think.
Let's face it, he's had hundreds of names over the years but just the one with out Robb in it which I believe was his first.
Oh, and his last. Which was Nobb.
I’d be happy if we went back to Sporting and had a good look at João Palhinha.
He’s arguably been as influential for them as Gonçalves this season, and it’s surely only a matter of time before he gets picked up by one of the big boys.
Reportedly has a EUR60m release clause but Sporting hinted last summer that they might have been willing to accept less (which, granted, may have changed now).
Proper DM with a very wide toolkit. Calm on the ball, shields and carries it well, reads danger well, and can pass it forwards.

I really don't remember that one.
Rice is good, but I’d rather we go for Bissouma. Would probably cost half the price, probably a better player, and maybe we could sweeten the deal with a Garner loan and sell them some cheap, shiiiit squad players like Andreas, Dalot or James.

On Carrick
He was very good at what he did. Unfortunately it is what he didn’t do which held him back from being a better player.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He was a fantastic player for us, A big game player, We were lucky he joined us, Because he said in his book that Arsenal were in for him a couple of years before.

Garner needs to go somewhere he'll play often, Brighton might be a good shout. Step up from Forest, and we can see if he can handle the prem. I'm quietly optimistic about him.
It could be a good move for him if he can get plenty of games. In theory, he should get on the ball quite a bit given how Brighton like to play.
The Championship is probably the best loan for him as I think the clubs down there will be more likely to have trust in him having already spent a year down there.
Dear lord. Our standards have fallen so much that Declan Rice is now being pursued.
Knowing the idiots that run the transfers and our idiot fans who cream over signings he'll probably end up costing at least 50m and 2 years later we'll come to know he is a mid table player like AWB, Fred
Good player, Declan Rice, you can't have watched him.
