I'm sure we can attract a better manager than a guy who really hasn't shown he's capable of being even an average coach
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Surely the qualification of a future employment should be more than just better than the man you think is nowhere near good enough?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yes definitely. We can and should employ a significantly better manager. My point is there's currently no reason to be holding on to Arteta (some people are apparently worried we'd struggle to recruit better).
We might well struggle but that'll be because bad decisions are made rather than a lack of money or pulling power.
I don't think anyone is worried we can't "recruit better". The fear is we cannot attract the best and will end up with another manager we have to sack 18 months later.

This
I think Arteta has made mistakes but I also feel fans are quite to jump at the manager without feeding the blame at the players/board/ownership.
It is starting to become a cycle, we sack a manager, hire a new one and a new coach can't motivate this lot to play so they ask for that one to go.
Eventually fans will have to accept its a 3 year project with any manager and if its not performing its due to the players not being good enough and the board for not replacing these players
Perhaps if we saw an Allegri not get this average lot playing then maybe they'll realise we aren't a top 6 side anymore. We are a top 10 side
It's not 2010 anymore. We aren't one of the best. Leicester and arguably Everton have better teams now

Or maybe if the "project" is given the time that they talked about it will come good?
Can't keep ripping up the plan and starting again. At some stage we are going to have to back someone over a longer period than 12 months.
Also, 3 years ago we had the choice between Emery and Arteta, and 18 months ago we had the choice of Arteta. There weren't top managers throwing their name into the hat.
Why, with the situation worse than then, would we suddenly become the choice of these managers?

Of course there is evidence of a project. We paid off Ozil, Sokratis, Mustafi for starters. That financial burden has had a massive impact on moving forward.
One that Edu warned wouldn't reap rewards until the 22/23 season.
You can sympathise with Arteta because it's a pretty weak team he's in charge of. Maybe the weakest for a long while. I mean since Aub has become poor and turned into a member of Milli Vanilli, it's not like they have a star player anymore. Saka probably Arsenal's best player but is just a youngster and learning. Pepe has come in for a lot of money and severely underwhelmed when he was supposed to be so much more.
At least Arteta can say he won something with a weaker team. That's better than Jose can do.

Well it's not good by any means.
We also have to remember it's a unique season, with no fans and a build up of fixtures. It's going to have an effect, and while you can say it's the same for everyone it's does make it a little more unpredictable. It'd be interesting to see how certain teams would do under normal conditions.
Regardless, Arsenal need a lot of changes, aside from the management.

--------------------------------
But we have had lots of changes already. This is where I completely disagree with the Arteta's fans who keep blaming weak players mentality from the Wenger era.
Of our current squad (25 players), only 7 were there under Wenger. One of them is Auba who only played few months prior to his departure. 3 of them could have left last summer but the current regime decided to keep them. Not long from now, people will start to run out of excuses.
Arsenal are now on the exact same number of points for the corresponding fixtures as last season.
The attack is 1 goal worse but they have created 2 more expected goals.
The defense is 3 goals better and 7 expected goals better.
-----------------
Sooooooooooo much improvement in there.

Sooooooooooo much improvement in there.
