Great news. Glad this signals more emphasis on youth than 30+ old players or imports. Now just need a coach whose is proven to develop youngsters.

I’m not saying it is bad news, there is hype and he looks exciting from some brief clips. But we have been here before, let’s not go nuts. We sit mid table during a terrible season, we need more than some teenager signing a contract to spark a change of fortunes.

I was absolutely convinced he'd agreed to join a German club. Delighted with the news. I'd start him vs Sheffield United and most of the remaining PL games now. Hopefully we can now look to move Lacazette on for a decent fee.

Good news, mainly because it must mean Nketiah is off. Maybe Laca too.

This is hugely surprising, and pretty good news. Thought for a minute you were a bit late with an April Fool.

Ah, turns out it was Leon Balogun extending at Rangers...

I can't emphasis enough how much of a boost this news is. If Balogun had decided to leave, we had to either buy in a young striker, in the region of €25m min, or offer an expensive contract to Lacazette and maybe Nketiah. Either way it would cost a pretty penny to remedy. Now we have Balogun and potentially Martinelli as forward options.

This extra cash can now be diverted to other areas desperately in need of improvement; chiefly midfield and right back.

PR move leaking it after last night's disasterclass, but good news I guess. Kid has a lot to do to ingratiate himself to some of the fans though.

He won't.

I'd be surprised and slightly annoyed if he isn't at least on the bench, tbh.

I don't want to take the edge off our excitement over yesterday's 'announcement' - presuming nothing more concrete has happened yet - but it is possible he will be sent out on loan next season.

If so, you'd have to hope we'd be looking to buy a striker in the summer, with Laca and Eddie leaving, meaning, after a season out on loan, Flo could come back in and replace Auba's place in the squad.

Just an idea really.

Balogun is so excited with the new development and wants to announce his renewal in a big way, he has already started compiling a video of his best moments at Arsenal since he joined the club at the age of eight. [

That would be heartbreaking if he sent on loan. He could take Eddy's spot if the later is either sold or sent on loan.

As with a lot of things, it depends if we are in Europe.
No European football means a streamlined squad. Loan seems more likely.
Champions League means we are more likely to buy, so Balo on loan.
Either Europa competition means he will stay and play a fair bit.
