Even as a spurs fan there is something in us all knowing he deserves better and will serve the club and chairman right if he left. Be interesting to see how we cope or don't cope after. We go on but sure a set back.
Imagine if Jose is still here and Kane is gone next season? With fans back too..
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Be intriguing also to see how Kane copes at a new club too. I imagine just fine, he’s quality, but if not, if the goals don’t come like expected he wouldn’t be the first big striker to regret moving. Probably not something that will happen, but stranger things have...
I do believe though that he’s picked the wrong year. Levy will want a kings ransom, and funds are stretched thin even for license to print money clubs.

For United its a risk but one that could win them the title. Its just, sure they're better than spurs obvs and more likely to get a major trophy, but they don't have the same draw as previously they have had. Also they seem to look at younger players going forward especially at that money, would be their whole 'budget'
----------------------------------------------------------------------
If he hardly ever got injured you could make a case for a world record fee, that’s why I can’t see it happening

I don't consider it a risk really. I think there's too much made of Kane's injury problems. He looks like he will play the majority of league games for us this season, and even with the injury hit seasons he scored close to 20 league goals. He's a fit lad, I think he'll be good for at least another 6 seasons of top quality.
The fan in me thinks he wouldn’t want to leave without ever playing in front of a full stadium again. It would be a sad way to leave so one more season feels likely.
It’s up to him though. And it’s no secret that we’re down on revenue with big bills to pay so Levy could cash in. Although we’d have to spend all the money on replacements as without him we’ll be awful.

Who says he has `picked a year`, Skyte Sports?
All Kane has said is he will assess his future after the Euros, in other words he is putting more pressure on Levy and Lewis to open their wallets. He certainly wouldnt be joining Penited, the only difference between them and Spurs is refereeing favouritism.
Billy I do enjoy your bitterness.,.
It does sound as if he’s decided, that after Poch coming so close to a CL, but the only real high point, and now Jose’s negative football that he wants to leave. Whether a soundbite to try and get a couple of hundred million chevvys from the levy, remains to be seen, and in this climate good luck to him, whether that or moving on as a prize asset worth a fortune when no one really has much cash

Far too much made of it, he’s 28 and probably had a total of 8 months out through injury since breaking through at Spurs and half of that would’ve been from the torn hamstring he had last season. He’s not injury prone, he’s just been rushed back to quick from injuries because of how dependent spurs are on him. The covid break obviously did him good, look how many games/minutes he’s played this season.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah I agree he's had injuries but could play well into his 30s and win trophies still well into his 30s.
I'm saying it's a risk because it would likely be their only signing and an eggs in one basket scenario
Well now, given that MBappe wants to leave PSG it may be that Pochettino will have the money to bring Kane to PSG. Kane would have to force Levy to be reasonable about price.
But when a player decides he wants out, management and all the contracts in the world won't keep him there.
Levy will have to sell.
And he should.....Kane has done his best for us.
Good luck to him, and H-M Son too!
I doubt any club could afford him. But if he does leave, maybe he could leave on a high, and actually turn up in a final for once.
Club always comes first. Spurs will carry on with or without Kane.

Players do come and go, only problem is after each of those players left we recruited so poorly due to Levy's p1ss poor business dealings when it comes to incoming transfer dealings. All well and good getting high prices for players sold but when you unable to reinvest it wisely it's detrimental to the long-term benefit of the club

I certainly would not be. No player can ever be allowed to be bigger than the club. No player should ever be allowed to put personal ambitions, above the club.
I don't see Harry throwing a strop though, so should not be a problem.

I would still get fully behind Jose and the team. It's what proper fans do. Do you think the fans booed Keith Burkenshaw and the team, when they played their first game in the second division back in the 1970s, of course they didn't.
