Sky last night

Not saying that I disagree with them, but that would have undoubtedly been sky's propaganda, and they would have told them to ram the message home like there's no tomorrow because of how the ESL will negatively impact them.

There product is under threat. Someone like Amazon will buy ESL meaning the so called big 6 will prioritise ESL over PL. Best team saved for Real Madrid and league Cup side for Burnley on Saturday.

Understand but they could have picked absolutely anyone abd they’d be saying the same thing.

Would have been food to have a little more variety, AND from clubs outside those 6 and possibly non prem.

14 PL clubs meeting today. Could be the end of domestic football for these six clubs.

I agree with Wilshere, Sky are only ramping this up through self interest.
Jonty, I think this matter will soon become yesterdays fish and chip paper. We already know that they have put papers into court threatening a legal battle should any player/club be prevented from playing in the UEFA/EPL and international fixtures.
I suspect the ESL threat is a way of getting UEFA to the table to re-negotiate the ECL deal and make it a bigger payout for the 12 clubs involved. If I was within the UEFA structure, I would be trying to separate the 12. For example, if UEFA sat down to do a deal and said to the Real Madrid's, Barcelona's, Liverpool and Man City, that there is a deal to be done, but we're not prepared to include mid table Arsenal and Spurs, I believe the former clubs would drop those 2 like a stone.

Sky know there time is up and they have their usual biased mouth pieces out.

They should go back to doing what they do best - showing reporters getting diiildos shoved in their ear

Sky have a massive agenda here.

Their product will be second rate and the money will disappear, no wonder nev and carra worried about their multi million pound contracts.

I’m against this idea, but give it a rest Sky.

I'm glad they're doing it. Gary Neville said that he is going to talk about it everytime he is on TV.

Why let it fade into the background? As soon as people do that and let other things take over the news, this kind of thing will be allowed to grow. Make them feel uncomfortable. Make them have to hear about how no one wants it.

Not really. It’s an established global brand. One the clubs are keen to keep links with.

The championship is a well supported and watched league, the old division 2 didn’t die because of the PL.

None of the remaining 14 clubs have any real global appeal. First thing that will happen is the overseas TV rights will dwindle to next to nothing as that money will be going to the ESL.

Then after a season, most domestic fans will get over the outrage and start watching the ESL, this will diminish the domestic TV deal for the Prem.

Then the new generation of young fan will have a choice of what games they attend.

The prem will become the new Championship

No issue with people taking a stand - it’s just incredibly hypocritical from Nev and Sky.

This has all gone behind the backs of the players. How would players feel if they are no longer playing in the Champions League? Your boss just pulled you out of the most prestigious competition in football. Stuff you dreamt of as a kid. Would like to find out what players think of all this crap thats going on.

More bollox, told you before, of course Sky is not liking this, because they invested billions in TV rights. Nothing wrong with that, no second agenda, just protecting their investment. FFS

I loved last night and so did everyone I spoke to

The match was almost an irrelevance. As it stands the point means very little because the PL as we know it is over

I didn’t want the program to end. Neville in particular was superb. His points and articulation were so good

I hope sky have come out and said they will categorically not be bidding for the rights. Their agenda is getting a bit tiresome already. Just come out and say we don't want it to happen because we will lose out.

Why is neville a hypocrit?

He addressed the fact he has earned money and the fact that he might have been able to say more in the past and why he didn't.

Suppose he is also a hypocrit for that time he opened up a building he owns as a homeless shelter.

I mean how he when he already owns a home, what a hypocrit.
