Agree with this to some extent. The advent of these oil clubs has pushed teams like Liverpool and united to need to increase revenue to compete.
Also hate the hypocrisy of eufa and fifa who have done sod all to fight the sort of overspending that has led to this and been sucking at the teat of the commercialisation of football for a long time. Their only problem is them missing out on the money.
But don't think it is fully fair to criticise the fans here. They had no control over abramovitch buying them and it was the only way they were going to compete with united and the silly money they threw around (even if earned)
Two wrongs don’t make a right and all that, but it doesn’t negate the fact that we should all be handing together to stop this. The more we squabble between each other about hypocrisy, the more the water gets murky and gives these billionaires the chance of getting this through
Wait a minute ... isn't it the greedy yanks at Liverpool and United who are the ring leaders here? Pot calling kettle black 'n all! Chelsea and City were only there so as not to be left out - it's the clubs who usually shove tradition and loyalty down our throats that are to blame.
