How about the league requires changing the ownership structure so there's a veto for supporters groups/season ticket holders on club boards of the greedy six for next 10 years...
Remove Mike Riley as head of refs. That will be a massive punishment for 5 of them.
Yes. A message needs to be sent.
Arsenal should be punished by letting Ozil back as CB

No lets just move on get over it
Yeah Punishment like point deduction does seem bit unfair on fans, players, managers and staff, they have no say in it whatsoever, and are all against it. It’s the owners who have to be punished, but it’s hard to do that without any effect on rest of the club. If you fine them, they could end up cutting costs to make up for it, which then in turn could end in cutting jobs, not sanctioning transfer and so on. The greedy owners won’t let anything effect them, they’ll take it out on the clubs. Wish we could somehow force them the feck out because of it
Really does highlight the need for more checks and balances on owners.
Don't punish the club's punish the owners they are the architects of this scheme.
Make them wear frilly pink shirts next season.
Fans represented and having a vote at board level and an independent regulator should be the minimum.
As much as I would like them to get some punishment. Think the reaction from the majority of fans of all these clubs will have had a massive affect on the decision to renegade on this and so would be massively unfair on them
Liverpool and Man United should be punished by selling Van Dyk to Everton as fine and Bruno to Burnley for free

The punishments need to be aimed at the owners and execs, not the players and managers.
Financial is probably the best way to hit them where it hurts.

Cant punish them for exploring new avenues. They havent done anything wrong
I imagine the fact this disbanded within 48 hours will see it get swept under the rug. The clubs in question are needed by these organisations at the end of the day, you can't ban all of them.
But if a punishment was dished out, which tbh no-one can begrudge, points deductions next season & a massive fine likely.

No please no.....relagation is to severe.
Not a particularly big fan of punishing people because of wrongs they planned to do but didn't actual go through with.
Is saying they are going to break away an offence of anything, or not unless they actually do it?

It’s the fact you’ve gone against authority by threatening to break away the very structure which made the game what it is today. It’s like planing a coup, whether you go through it or not, they still have to be punished for getting this far
purely for sh!ts and giggles relegation would be amusing, since at least 3 of the 6 would have to spend 2 years in the championship, arsenal considerably more.
but the answer should be - and, in a year in which the PL TV deal is being negotiated, will be - nothing at all.

LOL They are all billionaires, whenever have fines hurt them. Relegation down several divisions and a 10 year ban from European competition is a punishment.
