Jose's handling of Bale was just poor man-management plain and simple.

I mean really!

Rumour is, part of the Levy/Jose bust up was over Bale, Levy didn’t want a player he’s paying £200K a week sat on the bloody bench.

I thought we were very very good second half. Can you imagine that with a full crowd? Think we’d have gone on to score a fair few.

So refreshing to watch

Best not talk about the first half though.

Well I wasn't expecting miracles from kick off! Remember they’ve been getting used to that dreary slow style for a while now!

Whatever he said at half time did the trick though.

Exactly. There are going to be a lot of cobwebs to dust off.

I just loved watching us actually attack - with a lot of consistency and some quality.

Now if Mason wins the league cup and we finish in the top 4, should he be kept as manager?

Should he be first choice?

No...

But if we can’t pull in a Rodgers, Flick or Naggelsman, and the rest of the games this season show promise, why not?

Would rather than then settle for a mid range manager (Howe)

There is no reason not to get a good manager.
Spurs is too a big a job for Mason.
He needs to go to a place where he can learn the trade Spurs unfortunately is not the right place for that.

If Mason impresses he should be given an assistant position in the first team, reckon he could become a good manager

If Mason wins the cup and finishes top 4 he will be known as our best PL manager ever.

Agreed. Hopefully he does well enough to at least be in contention. It seems we're headed to the Europa conference anyway.

My one doubt would be trusting him going into the transfer market. Maybe if we could convince Levy to fack off out of it and get a DoF in.

Good win, but..........
I cannot understand why, when we have a FK in a great position just outside the penalty area, with Dier and Bale standing over the ball, Dier takes it rather than Bale.
Straight into the wall, predictable.
What kind of management rubbish is that?

The ideal scenario for me would be Mason doing well and then being kept on in an assistant capacity, and we bring in someone like Potter who Mason can learn from.

I think it's too early for Mason. Anyone can take over from Mourinho and benefit initially. All you've got to do is get into the players to attack more.

I like that idea Spurtle. Bringing in someone like Potter to learn from Mason who's actually coached at a big club before.

Yeap, so feckin basic. Play your best, your most technical, your most talented players. Even if they have an off day, fine hook ‘em off after 65 minutes, but to leave them in the wilderness for weeks upon end is just damn right negligent.

Super finish from Bale and that’s the fine margin between winning and drawing.
