Definitely should have been sent off. But then chequebooks clubs get all the decisions, so no real surpise.

If laporte had been booked for the first one, which he should have been, do you think he'd have made the second challenge? I don't.

He should’ve been sent off today. Simple as that. Two yellow cards and he got only one. Scandalous that City get so much help.

Laporte challenge on ball when he never touched Kane?
The 2nd he knew 100% he'd get a yellow. It was very intentional. Nothing more to add. Clutching at straws. Desperation
Laporte took the Spurs player out twice when he got done.

Isn't it amazing that so many people like the OP are so stupid not to consider this rather crucial point?
I can’t believe how many people are just accepting that Spurs lost instead of pointing out that the referee helped City yet again.

Ok great point. So Laporte wouldn’t have made the second challenge of already on a yellow. In which case Lucas would’ve been through and we’d have had a 3 on 2 attacking position, and therefore definitely scored.
It’s easy to predict when you just make up scenarios you like isn’t it?

Straw man point....the op and other thick ksnts are saying he should have been sent off. No he shouldn't, but yes he should have had a yellow card for the first offense.
Anyway,what a surprise,another spurs shat show
If Laporte deserved to be sent off the the Reguillon 100% deserved to go.
The only reason why Laporte didnt get booked for his 1st pull back was because the ref let the spurs LB get away with 1 literally 2 mins early. He was actually pointing out to the spurs players why hes not booking him.
In fact the ref was actually pretty fair. Think he only missed the foul of Reguillion on the 2nd half by Walker but that could simply have been down to the boy who cried wolf. Literally screaming every time some got near him.

Yes, it’s a straw man argument, which is exactly your argument. Well done on spotting the similarity.
However, Spurs probably should’ve lost that game by about ten goals so it’s hard to complain too much...

If they'd played the final on it's original date, City wouldn't have had one eye on next weeks Champions League game.
