Son doesn’t deserve any pity after his performance today, he was an utter joke. Don’t cry about losing big games when you yourself don’t arrive in them.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I won't judge him on one game for his spurs career even if you do.
Son has been struggling for a while hasn't he? Not getting me FF points as much as early in the season anyway.

A top team would.not have to play son every game. The lack of.belief in most of the team and reluctance to drop big players if they don't perform is costly.
Son is brilliant and a great streaky player, but there's no reason why when he's off form we can't sit him out and play another player.
OP
Spurs are the biggest bottle job currently in world football.
The have lost their past four finals, without scoring a goal, and lost nine successive fa cup semi finals.
You have to ask yourself about the mentality at the club. Forget about who they played in finals, and just let the facts sink in. They have been atrocious in practically every big semi or final they have played for the whole of the 21st century, bar one game.
That was a completely unacceptable performance again today, and how can you feel sorry for Son, he was totally anonymous as he was in the last final, and the one before that. He is as much of the problem as any other member of this collective team of abject failures.
Dier, Winks, Sissoko we are know are not very good, but why is none of the so called good players like Kane or Son never turn up in finals or semis either.

Pathetic, babyish response, that’s clearly not what I’m doing at all. He’s always been a streaky player. Can look world class for a period before going missing for a period; he’s been anonymous for about 10 games now in what most would say has been his best season for Spurs. He was in terrible form for ages before the CL final too and took that form into the game. I’m not slagging him off, but I’m not embellishing the facts either - I like the man and the player, but don’t act like he’s bigger than the club or not flawed.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Kane also had a mare.
Harry Kane didn't attempt a shot or create a single chance for Spurs in today's League Cup final, the first time he's done neither while playing more than 45 minutes in a game since September 2018, versus Inter Milan in the Champions League.
Do you have any issues with Kane today? Or its just Son?

Teams lose finals...its what the management and boardroom do afterwards that counts.
Atletico have lost many semis and finals. Most their glory came Europa league which some fans here don't care about. Now they are challenging would you still call them bottle jobs if they lost to barca or real.
Bottle job for me is losing when you are favourite. When have Spurs ever been favourite in a Final I'm recent years.

Unlucky today mate. That said they were excellent first half although spurs don't don't help themselves with either the tactic or substitutions. Why take moura off?
Son was having a mare. Moura was your best attacker.
I actually thought around 70 minutes you were going to sneak it with a late goal. I even messaged my brother (Spurs fan) saying this.

Yeah mate that's what made it so much more frustrating being still in it into 80th minute!
I got stick earlier in the season for calling Son mentally weak, brilliant player who.would get in most/every squad in the world but for top teams he's not undroppable all season.
I understand emotion but him crying after playing that poor doesn't cut it for me and he's so so inconsistent. Seems such a nice smiley fella, I'm sure he'd be much more effective for a stronger 'winning side, rather than being a main man.

I'm not a fan of the 'bottle job' narrative that gets pushed and I see it more often regarding Spurs. If I had to put money on today's game, it would have been City I'd have put it on and I'd have felt pretty good about it too. Same with the Champions League final and Liverpool.
I don't think of Spurs as consistent 'bottle jobs', I just think they are in the level below the teams they are facing when you get to semi finals and finals.
I've always used the term 'bottling' it as letting your nerve get the better of you and more to do with a situation you should otherwise have had under control. You've not bottled it, you've just fallen short of a team that is simply superior in basically every way. I don't even mean that as a dig, City are a very, very good football team.

You need Rangnick IMO, who in a way fills all three of those requirements
Before addressing anything else, you need a guy who's gunna break this psychological wall your players have of retreating under the slightest pressure. He's in the old school Klopp mindset of press-press-press, attack-attack-attack. Your players need to hear that ALL the time until a bit of positivity in mindset sets in.
