Might come to that to replace the orange boxes that I'm living out of.
We have it in our own hands to get out of this without relegation. Problem is we have to play with our feet which we don't seem to be very good at.
Not gonna beat a Welsh side with our hands either, Spart.
Even a point would make a big difference but if we play for that I can't see us doing it. I think we should throw caution to the wind and play as high a tempo as possible. Maybe then we've got a puncher's chance.
Almost exactly 35 years ago I went from Bristol to Swansea to watch us win 3-0. The crowd was under 4,000 but more than half were Derby fans. It took us to the brink of promotion form Division 3.
Wallington
Palmer Hindmarch MacLaren Buckley
Micklewhite Williams Gregory Chandler
Christie Davison
Man, that looks like a good team.

Probably still beat the current side even though they will all be pushing 65+?
Always rose-tinted looking back but it seems such a balanced team. I had just returned from 3 months in India and weighed about 9 stone. The mate I went with came back with amoebic dysentery. Shortly afterwards we sealed promotion in the famous Rotherham match at the BBG with Christie's late penalty. Just before leaving for India there was the Cup tie against Sheffield Wednesday that was postponed endlessly because of frozen pitches and I think a couple of replays before we eventually lost. Funny how we are all here again with the aim of playing in Tier 2 next season, and with the same cast.

I was there ... Great Times.
Sadly, we'd be a man down now.
I've also got the FA Cup game v Wednesday on video. Rock hard BBG pitch. Davison like bambi on ice.
Mornin' y'all
Wow! Great memories Vidal and Peeder
At that time I was watching Linekar, Southall, Heath, Sharpe, van den Hauwe, Sheedy et al from the Gwladys Street End.....
6.30 on a Saturday and I'm wide awake.
With the anticipation I normally only muster in my late middle age for Play off semi final days.
Because, let's be honest, that's what today is.
Win, and we are safe.
Lose and we will be in a deciding game where our fate for next season (and possibly a lot longer) will rest on 90 minutes next week.
It shouldn't be like this.
The team shouldn't have put themselves in this position and I certainly ought to have learnt by now to control my emotions better. I'm 55 for God's sake!
But, I can't help it. Derby County is the one thing in my life I care passionately about but have absolutely no control or influence over.
I try to stay calm, but I always fail.
I try to pretend I don't really care if we go down, but the truth is I care more than I really should.
We have 2 chances to save ourselves.
Please, PLEASE boys, take the first one. Put it to bed today so we can all relax and enjoy the final home game next week knowing that this season has not been the total abject failure I fear it might yet be.
Find the fight and passion; dare I say "gird your loins" and go out there and beat Swansea today ...
COME ON YOU RAMS!
We will lose today and so will Forest making next Saturday very interesting. Remember we relegated Wednesday from the Premier league when the went 3 1 up in Fergie time only for us to score two more goals.
Either tears of joy or sadness at 14.30 next week. I don't think we deserve to stay up having squandered so much money on so little talent but I suspect Wednesday fans feel the same.
Maarnin
If Peeder is anticipatious, I am trepidatious.
Don't think I can watch next week, either way
In other news, DCFC to appoint George Eustace as an advisor.
Cod he save our season if he is in plaice before KO?
I know what a plaice is, but who the hell is George Eustace?

The Norwegians are asking the same question.
What do we need to appoint someone else for when we can't afford the people we have already.
Tell me this is a joke one month late please.

Sounds as though he has lost a bit of weight, fair play to him.
