Increase in form/performance could lead to trophies this season. Kai on an upward trajectory.
Would work much better in tandem with Tammy, that's for sure...

I think Abraham's better utilized from the bench with Kai on the pitch. He can use their telepathic connection to tell Havertz where to run, who's around him, etc... got a better view from the dugout.

What we have to remember is that Havertz is very young. He has had to adapt to the league, the language, the culture. But more that that, the speed and physical nature - he still looks a little light in many ways. But just as Mount has improved in his second year, I'm hoping Havertz will be an important player for us in the coming years.
To be honest, I have been more disappointed by Werner. I think Lampard didn't help either of them with his tactics and there seemed to be five or six weeks where Werner hit the bar every game. He lost his confidence but his energy and teamwork have been first rate. But I still hold out hope ...

I agree with Cmf. Nice link up play with Werner yesterday but I think he could form an even better understanding with Tammy, who I feel is the more intelligent player. Not optimistic he will be given the chance to though.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I think I must be the only Chelsea fan who thinks Tammy is just a good player, nothing more. At a team like Chelsea, he's got to be second or third choice. Maybe I'll be proved wrong in the long run but I just don't think he's intelligent enough, he can't hold up the ball and he's not strong. If he were prolific I'd understand the clamour, but he doesn't offer enough to the team. We haven't had a top class forward since Costa.

No, I think that is actually the majority view of Chelsea fans. Evaluating a forward purely on the goals scored basis is for the mugs.

Yeah, much more important is how many sausage rolls he can put away in a minute.

Looking at either stat in isolation of each other and anything else, then I would say they are about equal in significance
I think a forward role suits Havertz, and I could see him there for the foreseeable. He could manage to combine a lot of very useful skills into a forward

You are right, Tammy is just a good player but nothing more. But Werner falls into that category as well. Difference is our fans have concluded that Tammy’s worst performances for us are more of what’s to come whereas Werner’s worst performances are just the beginning of a utopian future where he suddenly develops technical ability and composure.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Werner hasn't convinced me one bit personally...makes me wonder about Haaland too
Also need to see more from Havertz puli and Ziyech too...but if they all step up...oh my

Lol.....in regards to analysing his finishing, the sample ize now easily passes the significance test. Just look at the way Havertz tucked away his 2nd goal agst Fulham to how we can be fairly certain Werner would have done.
The conundrum for me is that Werner has this season probably been our best player for disrupting opposing defences. In this regard, better than Pullisic this season which both surprises me and disappoints me.
But, if we want to win trophies like the CL etc, we simply can't afford for key goal scoring moments in big games to fall to him.
If Werner could finish he'd be a sick striker.
So stupid, and yet so true
