3 Games Away From Glory?

I gave up after the Sheffield United game. I actually thought this was the year we are gonna do it until then and that late draw against Everton when we were completely on top and many draws after 0-0 was the end of it. Its a shame Man City got those crucial 1 goal wins this season we didn’t.

I hope for a miracle but since we lost to Sheffield United it felt the refs were never gonna let us win the league. West Brom 2 points more dropped and Chelsea 2 more points dropped due to VAR errors. That is 7 points alone recently that should never have been dropped. They even admit they made errors in the game after so what is the point of VAR?

Do you believe we can still win it though? I do. It’s important we all do, because we can.

God I'd love to be a fly on the wall inside our dressing room right now. I guarantee Ole is hammering it into our players that City haven’t won it yet and anything is possible when you play for Man United.

We have to believe Hafi, else what’s the point??

They need 2 points from 3 games. The chances are they will get it.

I don’t think we will win it but if we could appeal results due to wrong decisions by VAR I think we could win it.

We can win it Hafi. They aren’t champions.

We can win it if VAR screws them over like it did us. What I don’t get is how VAR team don’t know the rules? They even come out of many games involving Man Utd saying VAR error cost us. I think there has been 10 wrong decisions against us this year alone. Remember West Brom clear foul goal stands. Chelsea blatant handball actually stopped us from having a big chance yet they give a penalty against us when Palace player hits Lindelofs arm from 2yds. That means if you chip it into a players arms you get a penalty lol.

Ex Refs have been amazed many times this season when involving decisions against us.

This explanation was similar to when De Gea was elbowed in the face against Everton was normal contact. Basically they know it was a mistake. At least the PGMOL owned up to us losing against Sheffield United and not winning due to them scoring an illegal goal and we having a wrongly disallowed goal. That is the day I gave up on the title. We also had a deflected shot hit the bar but they had 1 fly in. It was not meant to be but next season I think we will go into it with a stronger squad than Man City as most of there key players will be past there best.

You’re spot on Hafi. Refreshing to see someone who talks a lot of sense on here, hopefully we will be celebrating winning the title this season or next.

This season sort of reminds me of the 05-06 season. We beat the team who won it and lost the same amount of games but we had some painful draws that in the end was the difference. Back then we had a young strike-force and maybe next year we can have a good start to the season that can make all the difference. We also hadn’t won the league for a few years but obviously this time its longer than that.

I think this is like Man City last great season and then next season they will decline like Liverpool.

For me City will fold next season for 1 of 2 reasons:

1) They beat Chelsea and win that elusive trophy. They’ll have nothing to motivate them, reached the top of the mountain etc... see 2021 Liverpool

2) They lose to Chelsea and the players give up hope of ever winning it and take their foot off the gas in the league

People were saying that this season when Liverpool were top and City were 10th.

Fans back next season, they'll turn on Ole when it starts to go pear-shaped again.

Boris it was just media nonsense as City had games in hand. Man Utd made a shocking start as well and that was the period we should have made the points on Man City but we didn’t make any.

Man Utd only lost 4 of our last 48 league games. That is insane really. Even under SAF we rarely went on runs like that but we had too many draws.

Our form at OT has been poor for a while. Normally it was a fortress. LVG won more points in both his seasons than Solskjaer will win this season. Maybe fans coming back will help us get over the line.

How many European defeats though?

Many 0-0 games the fans would have got us to attack attack attack until we win.

City's worst home form since 2009 and we're still top.

posted on 9/5/21

This is like our worst home record since Moyes although under Mourinho we only got 34 points from 19 games in his first season despite out shot count being better than our title winning sides. We only got 30 points from 16 home games so we can still beat last seasons 37 points tally as well.

I bet Culler and Hafi protest against the Glazers without realising they're part of the reason United will continue to be stuck with them.

City aren’t even that good and have lost more games than us this season. No way they should be top.

In fairness if Tuchel was at Chelsea from day one they might not have been, or atleast been made to work for it.

I have been checking the stats and it is insane how many games in a row we had higher expected goals than the opposition and so many games the opposition expected goals has been below 1. Teams are scared of us. If only we prepared for the season.
